All booked up now, decided on Main Beach and staying in Xanadu apartments which seem to tick all the boxes for us and reviews all good. Roll on holiday time!!

Hi, I'm planning a trip to Gold Coast with the kids and wondered if anyone has any accommodation recommendations. Would like to be near the theme parks and ideally would like a 2 bed apartment .... not too pricey tho. My kids a bit older so wont need childcare which a lot of the resorts seem to offer. Any advice appreciated, I saw a place called Blue Waters Apartments pics look great but would like to pick some brains of people who have been before. Thank you.

I got all of the above today. The tatties scones are fab and just had the pies for dinner... they are better than any I have tasted in Scotland really nice pastry and filling. Square sausage n brown sauce for breakfast, can't wait!! Gillian

I have 2 boys attending Port Noarlunga and they really enjoy school there. The OSHC is fantastic as is the Vacation Care, plenty of interesting stuff to keep them occupied.

Hi Sandra, I had the same problem when we moved to Seaford Rise none of the schools here have OHSC. I ended up enrolling my kids in Port Noarlunga and I have to say I've had no probs at all . The principal is good and the OHSC does some great things, not to mention the vacation care they do lots to keep the kids occupied, so I'd have no hesitation in recommending them. Best of luck. Gill

Im not sure it'd fit, but we need the space ASAP as we just bought another fridge/freezer today and can't fit both in our garage (really need a huge clear-out) but I'd hope to get rid of it over the weekend, getting ready for the family to come over. If you're not far come and have a look. Gill

Hi, I read your post and replies with interest as my mum and gran (who is 79) are coming beginning of Dec, but only for 3 weeks. I have most of what is mentioned to go see, but was thinking a a wee break, would KI be suitable for my gran? She gets very breathless on any walks (had a lung removed after having cancer). I would like to take her on a wee trip but nothing to strenuous and she loves the sea so nothing inland. I've been in Adelaide nearly 2 years and been nowhere, cos Ive been working constantly so any ideas?? anyone??

Lauren, I think you are really brave to post like that and I think it's unfair that you have been judged because of your age, to me you seem like a very mature girl and your opinions are as grounded as anyone else's. Why should age matter?! It strikes me that maybe you don't like adelaide, but then the abuse you adjured was in no way how adults should have done. When I think of myself at your age, hun you have so much goin for you and the balls to fight your corner on here!! Keep it goin and hope you settle really well...... x
