Is anybody off to Oakbank racers the week end

I am told it is ment to be very good at oakbank racers the bank holiday weekend.

I haven't been there for years, but it's a good atmosphere. It's called the picnic races as everyone takes portable bbqs, chairs, tables etc and sets up camp, sitting round eating and drinking. In between the races all the kids used to run on the track with their footballs (aussie rules) and have a kick around before the next race, which I thought was funny! Look out for the traffic on the way there and back, you may get stuck in a traffic jam. Lots of cops around so be careful on drinking/driving. I just don't like the jumps, one year a horse fell over and had to be put down which wasn't very nice.

yep we are going again this year was fab last year so we wouldnt miss it! Take a big picnic and lots of friends and its a great day out - also a good excuse to get dressed up!
