Hi every one just joined the site , my self and partner steve and our two children , are just starting out on this long roller coaster ride .

So glad we've came across this site lots of info and great people to speak to.

we do have a slight problem thoe , as im sure many of you have faced , we can't make our minds up as which part of oz we would like to live .Adelaide or wollongong in nsw , we would like to be quite close to everything really buy not in the citys them selfs , just far enough away as to enjoy whats on offer , any ideas anyone ?.

Steve is an electrician so would need to be were there is work in demand for his job ,also does anyone know if there is a big difference in wage between Adelaide and NSW , and lastly good schools for our two girls Georgia whos 10 and Madison aged 1 ,

    many thanks all Dawn

    Hi Dawn,

Welcome to PIA.;) There is a lot to think about at the start as to where to go etc. Cant speak for NSW as we are set on SA. Have a look at http://www.adelaidebound.com/ it will give you the low down on what you can expect to find in and around Adelaide. We are also having an East Midland meet next month http://www.pomsinadelaide.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2838 it might be an idea to pop along and speak to others going through the same process.

Good luck on where ever you decide to go to.

    Pete

A 175 visa is about as good as it gets. It means you won't be tied to an employer whether you like the job or not. You will also be a permanent resident and therefore claim benefits as well as get better deals on buying houses etc.
