So we are on 457. Landing feet end April, will be staying at our aunt's house temporarily for a month or so while we hunt for a suitable place to rent. My work location is in CBD. Aunt stays in Mitcham and one cousin stays in Marden. Cousin recommended Marden area for its convenience and demographic. Any views? Understand that commuting to CBD via bus could costs approximately $3.30 per trip. So I was even exploring on cycling to work.

Yea starting off with visa 457. Great to know that you are going for PR. Not quite sure whether there are diff for loan requirement but I am sure temp holder would have to pay more levy?

Wouldnt there be different expectation in terms of downpayment and stamp duty for temp visa holders? We are moving to Adl next month too and plan to settle in a house if everything goes well.
