Hi can anyone help me my family and i are moving out to Oz in September. My parents are hoping to come out and apply for aged parent visa when there, when printing the forms today they say certain visitors visas have restrictions on them that prevent this!!!! has anyone got any info that would help:arghh: Thankyou

I have just read your post about parent visas it was a great help we have just been granted our visas and i am looking into aged parent visa for my mum and dad. I have tried to find out info from everywhere about them applying once in Oz!!!! this has put my mind at rest.

Hi That is dreadful how can they charge that much!!!!. I have decided to carry on my application myself i have requested my file to be returned but am still waiting. I then recieved an email on Friday with their postage charges normal post free for them to take a copy and then post normally £25 courier £55 courier and for them to take a copy £80 seems they are going to get money either way. I've also been in touch with immigration seems easy to continue from hear withiut an agent and they are really helpful Tracy

Thanx for all the info i have been with 4corners for some time and my application has been lodged for 12 months (independent skilled visa) after speaking to immingration in Adelaide i now know i'm in for a long wait!!!!! . I wish now i had asked my sister to sponser me but was asvised at time it was quicker to go this way. My job is not on critical list just jobs required. Oh well back to waiting Tracy

Hi Darren I also have just received my letter about four corners very annoyed as i only contacted them the week before and nothing was said!!!!! I have been in touch with the processing centre in Adelaide and have been told to fill forms 1193 and 956. I have decided to carry on with my own process but as yet have not received my file from the migration bureau despite several calls. If you call Australia house in Adealide they are able to tell you roughly what is happening with your application the number can be found on the Australian government website www.immi.gov.au Hope this has been some help Tracy
