  1. Live in Hallett Cove, love it, great place.
  2. Hi guys, We're looking for some new senior players (16+) for a team based in Mitchell Park, Tigers Rugby League Club, strong Pommy presence and a great bunch of lads, players of any experience welcome. Training at the moment is on Wednesday at 6PM, will most likely introduce another day closer to the season start. Games will be played on a Sunday. Anybody interested please pm me. Cheers.
  3. More the Punk side of things, so I know that scene pretty well. There's plenty of Electro type joints about mind.
  4. Nah, that'll be the price of beer that does that.
  5. For Rock/Grunge/Metal you'll want to check out Enigma Bar and The Crown and Anchor in the city, for football The Rosemont in town is the best place, however it does get packed out for your Liverpool and Scum (Man Utd) matches. If anyone wants to add me on facebook then just drop me a PM.
  6. I'm pretty sure we train on Wednesdays too , we're based at Mitchell Park reserve, the league is currently deciding whether to host all games at one venue each week which would be Hansen, alternate between two venues (us and Hansen) or just play regular home and away games, which looks unlikely due to a shortage of referees. The promotion of the game in this state is a joke, we as a club (Tigers) do more than the League or the ARL in terms of recruitment and promotion, hosted a Ladies Day last year in aid of the Glen McGrath Foundation with special one-off pink kits and the lot and I reckon we'll do that again this season with maybe an addition day to promote Men's health. I'm also the club's assigned media officer and I'll tell you trying to get media coverage of the game down here is a nightmare, we had an affiliated states carnival at Hindmarsh Stadium this year which was a tournament between South Australia, Victoria, Western Australia and the Northern Territory and nobody even knew about it at there was no coverage at all.
  7. Thanks for reply mate though Fridays are no good for me as I have Rugby training, cheers anyway.
  8. Hello, I'm looking for a football team to play for that plays on a Sunday, I've played for the last two years on a Saturday but the Rugby League competition has now changed to a Saturday (which I also play) so I need to find a new team (Amateur, obviously), preferably one closer to Hallett Cove, I'm aware Hallett Cove has a Sunday Amateur team however from what I've been told they've a large squad and only one team. Cheers, Jamie.
  9. Far more popular than Rugby League in Adelaide anyway! I play League
  10. Nah, in all seriousness though it wouldn't harm to do some research on the Aussie Resume and Cover Letter, the typical Australian resume is more detailed than a British one. It's never a bad idea to have some have a read over your CV as we're generally not very good at judging our own work. And Adelaide_bound, I don't know where to start, they called the Spelling Police "Teachers" back in my day.
  11. It's spelt advice. Should probaby get someone to have a read over of your CV if you're looking to be a teacher.
  12. I'm part of the Red Army (supporters group) and we meet up in a pub before every game, get some cheap drink down us then go to the match where we'll have a drink in the stands and we've been known to go for a drink afterwards. I don't know much about the football but feel free to drop us a PM and I'll give you the meet details.
