Maybe this is a new requirement for 489's applied for in the last year or so ? George when did you apply for your 489 ? Mine was applied back in 2015, and I'm 100% sure this conditions were not mentioned on the departments web site at that time.

Hi Bro.... thanks for sharing, but this I believe is not mentioned in most peoples application. My application attached does NOT mention "my skilled occupation (or a closely related skilled occupation)" just any work.

Hi MGH, I also applied based on my taxi driving full time work. I think you need to advise CO that as you are self employed and there is no salary slips, better to show your financial reports like Profit & loss a/c & Balance Sheet. Thanks,

Hi friends, Can anyone say how long it takes to receive the AFP. On 7 May I got an email from them: "We are pleased to confirm that your National Police Check (NPC) has been completed and your certificate will be dispatched the next business day via Australia Post service to your nominated mailing address. Please note that current postage times are 3-7 working days within Australia " But it has still not arrived as yet. Any ideas ? Thanks,

Hi Everyone, We had supplied IETLS results for my partner for her 489 subsequent entry visa which is just 16 months old. Does she need to sit for IETLS again for our 887 to submit new results for functional english, which are less than 12 months old ? thanks
