Hi Sam2, I haven't applied yet I will be applying next week If you go through this forum you won't find a single case whose Visa was refused because of this condition also my agent has confirmed that dependent does not have to two-year stay and one-year full-time work what about you when are you planning to apply? I read the legislation law 887.212 It say only main applicant need to satisfy the Primary criteria However the Immigration person to whom I speak today told me otherwise I guess we should go with what the law say and we are fine Sam Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hi I called Immi today, The person told me that the Dependent needs to meet the 2-year stay in designated area criteria he also told me that this is not a new law it was there from quite a some time I am still confuse

Hi guess Yesterday I went to the Immi website that this is what is found, I attached the link if you can Check out the living requirement for dependent and minor it says "Provide proof that your partner and your children lived in a specified or designated area for a period of 2 years " I was wondering Did they amended the Eligibility requirements for the dependent. Because as far as I know this condition is meant to be only for the primary applicant or did they made a mistake on the new website your reply will be appreciated Thanks

Hi All, I am really following up this forum since last 8 month and I appreciate how all of you are helping each other and the information provided on this forum in regards to 887 is extraordinary. I am on 489 visa and had completed my 2 Year stay and one-year full-time work last week I am planning to apply for 887 visa, recently we are blessed with a newborn girl (my wife and my daughter, they are overseas). I called the immigration office yesterday they told me to apply for the subsequent entrant visa-489, for your new born child you have to pay full fees of $3600 my wife is on 489 dependent visa and already validated. my question is, can I add my newborn baby in my 887 visa application instead of applying for her 489 subsequent entrant visa and then bring her to Australia on visitor visa I am really confuse your help will be highly appreciated. thanks!
