Hello Everyone
New to this forum. I can see some names from the 887 forum here.
I am due to file for citizenship in March 2020. Wants to know do I need to renew passport of my son which is expiring in June 2020.
Apparently an expired passport doesn't matter when applying for citizenship.

Hi Tt2,
I hope you guys are enjoying your PR!
May I ask if you sent in a complaint after your requested documents?
@Bern83 yes I complained the day they asked for more information 06/06, and we got a reply that said kids didn't need to do medicals. The reply came same day with the grant.

Hi Simmie,
I'm in the same boat as you... it's so frustrating, day in and out without any word from immigration.
My boy's medical request was on the same day as yours. 5 June 2019. Luckily my HAPID worked and he had the medical the same day. BUPA uploaded the results on the 10th of June. I am still waiting anxiously!!!
Fingers crossed for the both of us this week!!!
@Bern83 a family I know got grant exactly a month after contact. Fingers crossed for everyone.

They only asked gp letter last time for one of my child and the second one was born when we had 487 visa instead of creating a new hap id she just sent old request letters from our immi account.
I can only wait for her response now.
Maybe @Simmie send an email to that email address everyone is talking about its gsm.business.support@homeaffairs.gov.au might help. Goodluck

@Tt2, Can I ask what IELTS results your partner had when applying for the 489? And what did you submit for functional English evidence? Weird that they ask for kids medicals, as that indeed had been done for the 489 already. Are you able to ask CO to check if they are correct in that. On the other hand, it is annoying... but when it is only a GP visit it can be done easily. Or is there more involved in Medicals?
@Bern83, from the tracker I can see that you applied 4/4/18, and haven't been granted yet. Correct? And IELTS dates from late '16, which is more than the 1 year valid date of it. And you weren't asked to redo the IELTS for second applicant? That's great, hope that will be the same in our case.
Just trying to understand these 2 cases as apparently I'm in the same situation here.
Hi @Stellajane I seriously don't understand the issue with medicals because they are just gonna do exactly the same they did for 489. My husband rang and was told that kids medicals expires after 1 year. For English I had submitted a letter from school that said all subject were conducted in English. And good luck to you, here is to a direct grant.

Thank you @Bern83 for the reassurance. Good to hear you are a fellow safa.

Good luck with everything that needs to be done! At least now you know they are working on your file, it's not a good feeling to sit around and wonder about it! I hope for you for a quick turnaround as well!
Thank you @Bern83 wish the same for you. It's just frustrating to be asked for information that's there already. What did you submit for your secondary applicant for English?

That's weird, did CO ask to redo the medical for your kids?
Yes just the kids don't know the reason behind it they are 12yrs and 10years .

Visa lodged 01/04/2018. Case officer Regina. I agree with someone yesterday who said Regina asks for information that's there already.
