  1. Hi Akie, you have to had lived lawfully in Australia for at least 4 years and held permanent residence (887 for instance) for at least 1 year. You can use this tool to help you know if you've met the residence requirement: https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/help-support/tools/residence-calculator Cheers
  2. Hi Shaani, I had to submit a separate application for my spouse using my immi account. You do not necessarily have to create a separate immi account for her. You can then link her application to yours to enable you take the citizenship pledge together as a family. If you added your children to your application, you may want to upload your Medicare Card or Centrelink Card as additional proof of parental link.
  3. If you've spent more than 3 months in a particular country after your PR was granted, you'd have to get police clearance from that country. On that note, my partner has an appointment for interview and test early next month
  4. Citizenship applications are being processed super fast. I submitted my family's just yesterday and they requested for more information today. They requested for court issued evidence to support my partner's change of name. She has never changed her name so we just responded to the email, telling them exactly that.
  5. You'd also need to complete Form 1195 (identity declaration) for each applicant. The person who signs your form 1195 must also endorse the rear of your passport photograph.
  6. Wow... That's great news 887. I will put in my citizenship application in October and it's getting exciting
  7. https://www.sbs.com.au/yourlanguage/hindi/en/article/2019/07/05/australian-citizenship-approvals-see-88-cent-increase-year This is some good news. Things are beginning to pick up.
  8. That's great news. I however think we're indirectly waiting for 3-4 years after PR to get citizenship, since processing time is about 2 years.

    887 Visa - What's the update?

I did. I moved from regional QLD to regional VIC after completing my 2 years. I just updated my address in immi account and still got my grant 3 months later. No problems at all.

    887 Visa - What's the update?

I suppose you mean regional VIC. Updating your address in immi after moving is enough. Remember, you can't live in Melbourne uder your 489 visa (check your visa's post codes conditions). I haven't experienced your final question so I can't advise. Cheers...

    887 Visa - What's the update?

By applying for 887, it pre-supposes that you've met all the conditions in your commitment letter (2 years living, 1 year working). Nothing therefore stops you from moving to another regional area in another state. 489 visa is not tied to any particular state. We only live in our sponsored states out of pure courtesy.

    887 Visa - What's the update?

H Roma, I applied for 887 in Townsville QLD and moved to Bendigo VIC thereafter. I just updated my address in immi and my grant was not affected. So the answer is YES.
