  1. Hi Tpsk, did u fill form 1436 for your new born? i got another email from immi asking to fill form 1436 for new born and make payment asap. im not sure how much to pay , they have provided me a link that provides fees info, but it does not say subclass 887. confused? will call immi on monday.
  2. hmmm got it, thanks yeah i will apply today.
  3. oh thank, my husband is the first applicant and they had asked AFP. as he doesn not have a last name in his passport. maybe thats why they asked again assuming his second name as last name.
  4. now this is strange, my baby is 10 months, i applied before baby was born applied on 19th oct. Baby was born in August. Included baby in Dec. But they did not ask medical for baby. i had attached form 1022, that i have a newborn in change of notification. teh documents had been requested yesterday, but i opened my immi account today only. i did not receive any emails from them i even checked spam folder. my baby has no bridging just 489 visa that too i requested in Jan , when i was travelling to India
  5. Oh Russki, i tell u i'm overjoyed even though no grants yet, but still assuming that my file is not lost and had been touched. now could you please tell me how long from here, guess 2 months is it??????? Mine was bit complicated case, i had baby after i applied, then my husband became first applicant and i became 2nd. even though i was the first applicant on 489. now i guess they are pretty quick, and i bet you will get it only by this month, u have been so positive on this forum, thanks for ur ideas, and kind words. I wish you all the very best!
  6. Hi All, just opened my immi account, and have been asked for more docs, i did not receive any emails from immi though. Docs requested - AFP and Overseas police clearance, AFP for both me and my hubby were submitted, but i did not submitted my overseas police clearance, due to the fact that i did not travelled back. this is 8 months, and im glad even for a reason my file has been touched, although i waited for a direct grant, but have to be positive and wait at least for 2 more months now. @ ruski, rike, TSEP, poonam, and others who applied in Aug, Sep, Oct, i strongly pray that you guys will get grant by end of this month. To all those waiting, i wish you all get direct grants asap.
  7. Yes bro same thing happened to me and my husband, we went to solicitor to sign the papers the apartment was under $500,000 as per new rule we had to pay $13,000. we also paid 20% deposit on the property, wasn't really worth it, ( will not suggest anyone to get into this till you get PR). Worst is that, the price didn't went up much, an renovation cost is hitting my head high. a PR soon, may solve my miseries of this , and will sell this and move back to Sydney.

  9. lol yes mind not working bro!!! i applied home loan with 489. not on 887.
  10. Hi Dar, sorry i did get home loan on 489, yes 887 is PR itself so u get 95% home loan and no stamp duty for first home buyer. also if you purchasing property in sydney or in NSW they have waived off stamp duty.
  11. Hi Raman, this is what happened, when we got 887 visa, after 8 months, we thought to save our rent and buy an investment property where we can not forever till we get our PR, so we brought this apartment in nsw on 887 visa. we contacted comm bank who said they don't give loan on 887, we tried anz bank, but the interest rate was not good. so we approached st george bank who asked for 20% deposit. Last year only st george bank did give loan on 887, not sure about this year. when we were at the settlement stage our solicitor, told us about the stamp duty that we had to pay 13% (its not a new property). also regarding FIRB, both the govt and bank considers us as non resident for loan purpose, so we had to apply FIRB, if you do not apply FIRB its like a breach. the bank wont accept the application without FIRB. once our loan was conditionally approved we had been informed to apply FIRB. it took 5 days, then only bank processed our loan.
  12. i pray the same for u! all we have to do is wait and pray.
  13. Hi Su, we brought a property on 887 visa, unfortunately we had to pay 20% deposit. and also me and my husband applied for FIRB approval it will cost $5000 , without FIRB approval you cannot get a loan from bank. Last year when we had purchased only st George bank gives loan to non resident applicant. we also had to pay 13% as a stamp duty. was a hell lot of money. Bank consider 887 visa as on non resident, same as FIRB (Foreign Investment Reserve Bank). Hope this helps.
