  1. Quick question to those who have received their grants. Do we need to inform Centrelink about the grant in order to get a new Medicare card though the interim one is still valid. What about any other benefits if applicable?
  2. In my case, l had to because am divorced and am here with my child while the child's father is in another country. Apart from submitting Form 1229, immigration will also get a verbal consent from the other parent so give correct contact details in the form if you are in a similar situation as mine.
  3. GRANT!! Our Xmas gift has finally arrived!!! The long wait is finally over for a family of 2. Applied on 17/04/18 Request for Form 1229 on 31/05/19 by CO Michael Grant: 20/12/19 by CO Wilson I called the immigration on 17/12/19 since I had passed the processing timeline. Good luck to everyone.
  4. My details have been completely removed from the spreadsheet. Can someone get it back on?
  5. Someone has messed up the spreadsheet again. My details are all wrong.
  6. Nudgee when did you apply? Have you been contacted yet?
  7. Who are those 2 grants for 22/10/19 in the summary tab of the spreadsheet?
  8. Someone has been messing up the spreadsheet again. My name and details are no longer appearing on the spreadsheet. Please update.
  9. Congrats! According to the spreadsheet you were contacted on 23/05/19 so this is not a Direct Garnt unless there are more than two people with the same name in the spreadsheet with the same day of application.
  10. Congrats! Did you state your Visa Reference Number on comment and complain online?
  11. Congratulations! So the grant was given yesterday 01/08/19?
  12. Bridging visa is that temporary visa which comes into effect when your current visa expires while you are still waiting for the PR grant. It is granted when you apply for 887. Yes, in my case, it got into effect after completing 4 years.
  13. I called and asked them and their reply was yes, once you are on Bridging visa, you are free to move anywhere in the country. I also spoke to my lawyer and I was advised that it is a grey area and since we can not quote and prove who gave us that information, the visa can be declined and then one would end up appealing and would eventually win but why risk it in the first place.
  14. What information did they ask for when you called them? How long did it take for them to answer you? Is this the number 133177?
