  1. Hi Sjay, Yes I moved after applying for 887. No I did not update form 80 or 929. My agent updated it for I didn't change anything in immi account. To be honest, I just checked whether the agent uploaded all the updated documents. Thanks, Inaz
  2. Thanks allot. No I didn't receive that email. One of my friend who got his grant 2 weeks ago applied on 9/8/18 and he didn't receive the email too. At the same time another friend who applied on the1st week of September received the email from immi. Thanks, Inaz
  3. Thanks for all for your lovely wishes Sorry I applied on 14/8/18 it was a typo error, but I wish it was true
  4. Alhamdhulilla....... Finally got our GRANT...... Applied : 14/08/2019 Direct grant: 24/10/2019 CO : Wilson Applicants : Family (3 applicants) My son is 4 years and did his medical for 489 and therefore did not ask for his medical for 887. Updated docs in June: - AFP for both me and my wife - new tenancy agreement - new employment contract - updated overseas police clearance for both me and my wife (we went to home country). Thanks for all your support. Thanks to almighty....
  5. I work for a bank, you can definitely buy a house on temporary visas like 489. However, not all banks accepts temp visa and therefore you don't have the option of shopping for better interest rate. As far I know only two banks accept 489 visa and each of their policy is different to one another, better discuss with a mortgage broker. Also, you need to get FIRB approval (I don't know how much it cost but I heard $7k - $10k). Temp visa holders are not entitled to FHOG (better check with a broker because even FGOG is different state to state). Hope I answered you question.
  6. Alhamdhulilla PR Granted for a friend! Applied: 9th August 2018 Direct Grant: 17th October 2019 CO: Wilson
  7. As soon as PR granted we are eligible for FTB B and childcare rebate. After 1 year, we are eligible for FTB A and rent assistance as well. I am not sure about HECS and other benefits, but you can find out from centrelink.
  8. I am more than happy to post, if DHA is not shy to grant me PR
  9. Latest update from my agent; requested AFP for an applicant who applied on 15/7/18.
  10. Hello everyone, I am frustrated as much as you all are. Seriously! 18-21 months is ridiculous. When I applied it in August 2018 it was 7-9 months, unbelievable. A suggestion to all July, August and September 2018 applicants, please provide a recent AFP and if possible overseas police clearance as well. In the recent past we have seen many files were pending for 3-6 months only for AFP.
  11. This is true information. I went to medicare office few weeks back and when I inquired about FTB they said the same thing.

  13. She is doing health admin now, she has chosen a major yet, she will be doing nursing or phamasict as major. Even for major it is the same, will be treated as local.
  14. Hi Dee, In regards to your daughter's uni fee I don't think you need to pay international student fee. My wife studies at Tafe, she got 90% scholarship and we pay 10% all as per local rates. When we Initially inquired we were told that we will be paying local rates and we won't qualify for HECS due to 489 visa. Maybe uni and Tafe are different but better to inquire directly from Uni.
  15. Just a reminder to all those who applied around June/july/august/september 2018. Please update your PC, that is the only case officers requested from most of the applicants in this forum. Regards, Inaz
  16. Hi Sjay, I went overseas with my family after applying for 887 and returned without any issues. When you apply for 887 you will be issued a bridging visa A but it is effect from the date your 489 visa. You need to return before your 489 visa expires or wait till 489 expires and then apply for bridging visa B. You cannot apply for bridging visa B when you out of Australia and you cannot come back into the country with bridging A. Hope I answered your question. Regards, Inaz
  17. Hi, can someone who has access to the excel sheet can change my details, applied on 14/8/2018 and I am from Sri Lanka. Thanks
  18. WOW......... I am silent follower for last 9 months and this is the first time I see a rain of grants. Congratulations to all of you those who got their grant and all the best to those who are waiting, including me Regards, Inaz
  19. Sorry to hear Kapil. We all are pretty much in the same boat, everyone is struggling in different ways but the path is one. Why not let's talk about the positives, in my case, I did accounting and I think I was in the last batch who got 489 visa as an accountant (now it's very difficult for accountants). I know many who are struggling to get even a 489 and looking at their struggle I feel mine is nothing. Therefore, in my opinion better to focus on the positives and enjoy life my brother.
  20. Hi Toot, I work at Westpac and I know Westpac lend for 489 visa holders but with some restrictions. Not all banks lend but talk to a mortgage broker and he will give your options. Regards, Inaz
  21. Hi Butt, You cannot travel in bridging A, if you do you cannot enter back into the country. I think there is a bridging B expire date as well and make sure you return before that date.
  22. I am silent follower of this group. This week seems to be the best week, many grants compare to so many slow weeks. I think both our petition and individual complain seems to be working. Congratulations to those who all received your grant, enjoy guys
