Hi April, we got our Visa in June. We intended moving over in November this year but after we were unable to sell house, so we pulled the plug and decided to wait. The main reason for this was to make sure we have plenty fall back funds if things go wrong. If we are moving to the other side of the world the last thing we need is to have money problems, so we are going to save like mad for a year or two max. I live in a place called Newton Aycliffe in Co Durham and have a two year old daughter and wife who is 31. We have to validate our visas so we are flying to Adelaide on the 17th November and return on 10th December into our nice warm weather!!! It would be good to keep in touch as we may be going arround the same time. Also anyone already there it would be good to meet while we are over for holliday. Take care, Stephen, Rachel, Amy

Hi All, sorry I have not been on for ages. My head is in bits not sure if we should wait a year and save like crazy or just go for it. We have someone coming to look at renting our house tomorrow, after trying to sell our flat and house we gave up and decided to rent them. Flat rented no trouble but house taking longer, I have job in Adelaide but have to work my way up again. After seeing some living costs it is scary. Anyone feel the same, I am usually a just go for it person, but something is stopping me!!!!! Hope your all OK. Stephen

Hi Claire, sorry I havnt been on for ages. So you got your Visa, congratulations. I have been to Adelaide for a look arround, it is better than I thought it fantastic. We have to sell house now so stuck, after visit only 2 places for me, Glenelg or Port Noralunga area near Seaford. The road system is unreal trafic just flows hardley ever get held up for long. Hi Sarah, our doctor was also chasing them for us. They should also be trying to sort things for you, it is automatic but they need to push for them to act quickly. Either way after your long wait not long now, we first applied in October 2008 so getting visa a few weeks ago was amazing. Hi Sarah, the same thing happened to us I emailed case officer they get someone else to sort this out. I think it happens a lot to people who have had visa in for long time, you should still be able to do it online. Good luck, stephen
