Applied 16th May 2019 1st contact 28th May 2020 - asked for Primary Applicant Proof of English Called them and after 35min call they said NOW is necessary to attach Proof of English (Functional), below is the email I received after my call "Thank you for contacting the department in regards to providing evidence of Functional English. All applicants over 18 years of age are required to meet the English language requirement at time of decision. If you have an English language test result for a test taken less than three years prior to the lodgement of the 887 evidencing at least competent English please provide a copy. I note that you have completed a Bachelor overseas. If you hold an award (being a degree, higher degree, diploma or trade certificate) that required at least two years of full-time study or training and all instruction (including instruction received in other courses for which you were allowed credit) for that award was conducted in English. If your Bachelor was completed in English please provide evidence."

JUST FOR DEPENDANTS Proof of functional English Provide proof that all dependent applicants aged 18 years and older, who did not pay the second instalment of the visa application charge at provisional stage, have at least functional English.

How did you lodge a complaint?

What state are you? Seems like QLD is a little faster than others...

We are nor eligible for anything, not even to get our superannuation (that's our money, we paid for it). I was always calm but Australian Government starts to piss me off. I have 3 years on 489 with 2.5 years of full employment and now I am fucked... applied on May 2019 for 887 but probably need to wait for more 12 months... unbelievable. I am the only one at my office is not resident, so my boss will apply for wage bonus for everybody else but not me, what do you think is going to happen??? Will get fired for sure. Afff

If we get the PR we still need to wait 2 more years for unemployment benefit.

One question: My 489 will expire Feb 2021 and I have applied for 887 May 2019, so my credicards will expire Feb 2021, how can I renew them with bridging visa??? Oh mate, so frustrating ...

Did you buy it or did you lease it? What dealership you used? I got approved on leasing car, rental car company Alpha cars.

I applied for 190 QLD and 489 QLD and I got invited for 489, big mistake, should done only 190 QLD because I had enough points to get invited... stupid!!! Well let's wait and wait and wait...

Where do you live mate? I am still waiting for my 887 and probably I won't move from my regional area, got 2.5 half years same job... Live in Sunshine Coast QLD. Only difference for me I will be able to finance a car with decent rates.

Same boat, I attached 3 lease contract and 2 of them have only my first name and last name, for my wife and I. Even my credit card has first and last name. I don't think that will be an issue. Applied in May 2019

Your Bridging Visa holds same restriction as your previous Visa, so you still need to live in Regional Area, sorry for the bad news. I am positive sure!!!

Actually you need only if you go overseas during the time of your application.
