Applied 01/03/2018 1st contact 14/05/2019 Spouse English C/o Michael 2nd contact 17/06/2019 PCC name not tally with passport name of the spouse. Hi, 489 is a ultra shit visa. 189 the best or at least 190. Both are permanent residence visas. Adelaide best to live if you have good job. State sponsorship is a bloody joke. They just dump people here and you have to look after yourself. Jobs are hard even odd jobs. No need to do IELTS again for 887 , If your spouse did the higher studies in English medium. Schools free for 489 but some schools you have to pay around $500 per year. Monthly expenses would be around $ 3000 for month. Its for just food and rental for 4 family. Do better research before come or come your self first and study the situation at least one month.

Hi, What to do mate. One of my friend applied 3 weeks later me. But he got PR 2 weeks before my first contact. Thereafter I got 2nd contact. I am still waiting. No point to complain within 18 months because same ready made answer we could expect.

Hi, In your country PCC at least for 10 years back which you lived period and its name should match with passport. Married certificate and children birth certificate revels your relationship. All utility bills will help for address proof and bank statements too.

Hi, My wife did IELTS for 489, before came to Australia. After migrating here, she followed TAFE English Cer., IV and passed it. Then we applied 887 and she used that results for proving her English proficiency. But they didn't accept that. Anyway,I think in your case if your spouse followed Australian Adult Migrant English Program 510h course and they will accept it. Because that is in their website. But TAFE English Cer., III & IV are not accepting. I think 510h course the right one. Because one of my friend's wife did that and very recently they took the PR(887)

In my case I requested them to create HapID for my little one and they did it.

Hi, My wife submitted TAFE English Cer.IV as an English proficiency. But they refused it and asked her do IELTS again. So we wasted our time and now we submitted.

Hi, After one year waiting period, our baby was conceived and wife did all tests which recommended by GP. But Bupa paid nearly 30% of the bills. Because they said that they only reimburse the medicare component as I told you earlier. When I question from lab people, they told me that they consider,we are as foreigners and they have freedom charger what they desired.( we very unfortunate as 489). Also my wife had to admit to hospital for other issue and we had to fight with BUPA to get settle the bill. We had bitter experience with them.( bill code issue) Fortunately before the delivery we got medicare ( after lodging 887). Then we did it under medicare without any cent. But one of my friend faced same situation and they had not any insurance. His bill around $ 10,000 with all tests since beginning to delivery. Also he is paying by installment basis. Delivery was cesar and had not arise any complications. I am hoping that you could get some idea.

Hi, You could admit to govt; hospital (i.e. Women and Children) as private patient for delivery and you could pay by chargers by itinstallment basis according to your financial status. Go and discuss with them. Rates may be around $2600 per day plus other chargers. Insurances very tricky and many hidden chargers. Because they only pay us medicare component only and more than 60% we have to pay by your pocket. Going back to your country is final option and calculate both side and you decide.

Hi TAN, I had the same situation as you. I sent all documents to GSM Adelaide P.O. Box. by registered post. After that, they updated immi account with baby's 489. Previously, I upload electronically but it didn't work. Secondly, I requested HAP number for baby's medical and they sent me. That's how my scenario happened. Regards, Hi

You have to renew your passport, its getting expired before 6 months. I think better to apply 887 with a new passport.
