Don't decide on a suburb until you are here and have a drive around. Take your time in deciding as well - look at as many house opens as you can and don't put an offer on a house unless you are 100% sure (that's if you are buying). My advice is to look for a house after you've found a job which is not be more than a 30 minute drive from home to workplace. We live in Seaford which is 40 minutes south of the City. Its great here, right by the sea, great drive-on beach, affordable housing, has loads of shops, good decent schools, right at the bottom of the Southern Expressway and is not a feral area. What more could you want?
