Hi, yes we are but its where to start is the issue, and would it not better to just go for a working visa then apply for residency after 2 years of being there, and my eldest son may stay in the UK with his dad as he is not to keen on it, we need to look into all the prices again as they will have changed since we first started to think about it. Lots if information to find out i think.

Hi, this is my first thread for a while, we have decided that its now time to leave this country, problem is im 44 end of march and my hubby is 46, im a nurse and hubby is an orthodontic technician we have 2 children 5,16, what i need to know; if anyone can help, if we apply for a perm residency will it still be viable for the 5 years you have it, (once its been made active ozzy side) it wont be void once im 45?? Any information will be appreciative.

Thanks for the reply's, its so confusing which way to go, but as DougM says "whats my new life worth", the agency have said that as im a nurse it could be all done and dusted within 8 months, i think i will just pay an agency to do it then no hassell for me. Hi all, we have decided to emigrate to SA and are going for PR, as we have children this is apparently the best visa. We have been told it will cost between £4.500 to £5.500, this is using an agency, can anyone tell me if they paid the same or is it cheaper to do it yourself. Thanks Kathy

Hi everyone, im pulling my hair out with all the visa infomation, can anyone tell me if you are able to apply for PR whilst still in england, i am a nurse and would like to do it before leaving. My family consists of 2 x children (3-13) and my hubby who is a dental technitian. We have made the decision to leave england and its took over 12 months to decide. I dont know if its true but i have been advised to get PR instead of a working visa, i just dont know what to do for the best. I have also been told it cost's quite a lot, is this true? Hi Gill, I cant belive the ratio, im getting totally disgusted at the way we are being treated here, last thursday i was in charge of a ward with 27 patients with 2 health cares and a newly qualified nurse who is pregnant, the seniors knew about the staffing but do nothing about it as i dont think they care as long as the beds are filled, i work on a respiratiory ward and had few on the LCP, and a few very poorly, i felt like crying by the end of the shift and going home feeling i havent done my job. i dont think i can carry on doing this as its my pin number on the line not the managments. Sorry moaning over now. Are the shifts same as here 1-9, 7-3. do they do long days 7-9?? It sounds too good to be true, but im willing to give it a try. Thanks For the info, Kathy

Im so confused at the moment as we were all for starting the process but my dad has been given some bad news reg his health, so we holding fire untill next year. Hi to all the nurses over there, what i want to know is how different is nursing in adelaide, and is the ratio better than 1 to 9, or 1 to 13 which is normal on the late shift. And how easy is it to get a job there from over here? Thanks Kathy.
