  1. Hi everyone, i want to say thank you to each one of you for the support and discussions. I got my 887 grant yesterday. I am certain that our SBS article and interview has made an impact on immigration one way or another. I was the guy in the second SBS article/interview. All in all it gave me a broader understanding of the supportive comments and not so supportive comments on SBS article. I hope you all hear about your cases soon and best of luck Applied 19-feb-18 1st contact 24 June 1st complain in August 2nd complain in Sept granted 4-0ct-19 (19+ months wait time) Thank you again it was long time coming
  2. @Rantan I have covered point B in my personal phone interview with sbs. I have stressed on major points regarding the non-transparency of department to the applicants. As my case is 20+ months now with one contact in June. As the time frame is not reliable, I have mention my concerns regarding the right to know the exact status of your own application. This is not the first time I have been stuffed around from department. In the past they rejected my TR back in 2010 without giving any reasons which led me to go through tribunal and I waited almost 3.5 years to get my case heard and they admitted that it was a mistake but whose going to take responsibility for those lost years, don’t want to go in detail with my past but it effected me greatly personally and mentally.
  3. Just follow the same like regarding the article which includes the live streaming of the interview in about 10 mins.
  4. @Stellajane I am just trying to do the right thing. You can actually listen to us live on sbs in round 40 mins. Hope this helps Good luck to all of you.
  5. Hi forum members, Shamsher from SBS contacted me this afternoon. We talked around for 40 mins over the phone. Discussed the issues regarding the uncertainty, non-transparency of the visa process, long waiting time and the issues we face in regional areas and the significant effect on our lives. Rest I am not sure test he will contact me once he’s done preparing the storyline. I hope I have provided him enough material backing up with lots of issues I have faced in regional areas. I’ll keep you posted. Regads jaspreet Singh
  6. Yes I did a stat dec, explaining the issues with not finding a full time job, personal issues and financial strain led to delay in moving to regional area. I had release letter from the authorities to stay in regional Vic. Which I think not a big issue as I complied with all the aspects of the visa 887. My wife and kid are born residents so they are not in my file as applicants but surely they are mentioned. So my case is pretty straight forward and don’t know what the problem is?
  7. Hi all, As it’s all frustrating and extremely annoying and the time increase today just tipped me over. I have complain through my migration agent today to GFU. And I called them before that as well. It is not acceptable and not fare. I applied on 19 feb 18. The first contact was on 24 June 19. Submitted all the requested docs. Heard nothing after that. I am 18+ months now and not going to wait for them to increase time frame again. I request all the applicants to send complaints through there local MPs. I will be looking into my legal options if they don’t reply or send a shity reply to satisfy our frustration.
  8. Thanks mate we’ll do. It’s frustrating and confusing
  9. Asked for AFP and explanation regarding moving late to regional area. All submitted but no answer
  10. Applied 19-2-18 first contact 24th June complained twice and called twice=standard answers don’t know what to do
  11. @sds I would suggest you should go through your agent to lodge a complaint as your agent is an authorised representative. And moreover you have paid your agent to deal with your application. If you’ll try to complain from your end they won’t give you details of the insight status of your application. I am just letting you know with my own experience. Good luck
  12. Congratulations mate, enjoy A quick question, I have passed 17 months in mid July and first contact was on 24th June. Made a complain on 1st of August and got a reply on 8th August, with a standard reply as timeline changes every month given the workload etc. when should I follow up with another complain? Should I reply to the email or go through global feedback? Anyone else experiencing the same issue ? @Russki @nudgee Any suggestions ?
  13. Hi all, i am new to this forum, i applied my 887 visa on 19/2/18 (its been 17 months 2 weeks) CO contacted me on 24 June asking for new AFP and the reasons explaining that why i didn't move straight away to regional area. i moved 6 months later after getting the visa cause of family issues. would that have any effect on the outcome? should i call /make a complain? now submitted all the documents asked. second question my wife and my 9 month baby are Australian citizens by birth , do i still need to add them to my file ? i would really appreciate your reply, thank you in adavance.
