  1. yes, I also did this to get my driver's licence renewed in my home country. complete all your travel history as much as possible and you'll be good.
  2. me as well, applied 29 May. Direct Grant today, so happy about it.
  3. I imported my (agent's) application as well, couldn't find any recommended docs attached, should I contact my agent? It was submitted last 29th of May, I know it is too soon, but it's better if all the docs are there before they forget about it. My wife and I were very punctual and meticulous on the docs that we have submitted to the agent, but they didn't attach those necessary information (residency and work evidence).
  4. sorry for the off topic. Great, we're on the same boat, worked as a bank cleaner in my first couple of months here. Then got recommended to join a farm as a quality controller. Doing another part-time as a construction cleaner just to add to the working hours in the farm. I'm an architecture draftsman by the way. Do you have any vacancies?
  5. exactly, no jobs here and people on Facebook groups (locals/migrants) are battling unemployment.
  6. You've mentioned that you don't want to change your particulars (address) because you wanted to be sure that you are comfortable with your accommodation and only then you will update the authorities. Did you guys update your 489 CO everytime you change particulars like addresses for example? My friend was advised by the officer to go back to his home country just because he told the officer that he wanted to move to another state's regional area because he cant find a job in his current area. He's right in doing an update, but wrong by telling and asking the officer if it's ok to do so.
  7. I lived in an Airbnb the moment I arrived Australia, I booked the room for 3 days under Airbnb but have extended my stay for almost 2 months as the host was very kind to me. This extended accommodation was based on a verbal/sms/email agreement, no bookings done over the Airbnb app, I am still in contact with the host and we lived a suburb away from each other. I made a letter that explains all our communication and agreement, including screenshots of our texts and printed out the email for our conversations as well. I told my host about it and explained to her that it might be needed as a proof of residency, she's willing to sign it as well. Is this considered as a proof that I have stayed in her address? Anyway, just wanna ask if did you guys update your CO when you got here? like contacting them and tell them your address. My friend (under 489) stayed in the CBD when he got here and informed the CO about it. CO was not happy about it.
  8. +1 Just wanna ask if you guys have a list of your submitted documents (spreadsheet), it will be helpful.
  9. Thanks and congrats, that's what I thought too.
  10. Hi guys, just wanna ask, did you submit/process your PR application by yourself or thru an agent? Who among here went to other (state) regional area and got their PR with no questions asks?
