Thanks. Viewed it just now under ELIGIBILITY. They updated the 887 and create link to functional english requirement. This will provide more clarity for the new 489 visa applicants and for those schedule to apply for 887 visa.

Same trend for GSM Adelaide. My IMMI status is the same FURTHER ASSESSMENT since 20May2020

Who is the CO? GSM Adelaide as well? I got the same request and i was one who restarted the trend last week for functional english requirement. I was able to secure a certificate from my Uni overseas for instruction in all English in addition to my bachelor degree certificate that was already uploaded upon submission of 887 application despite of the pandemic and the school is shutdown/closed. Same issue that was exam was already expired more than 3 years taken 2014 for 489 visa awarded offshore. Uploaded the certificate last night but still waiting for my new AFP that was requested as well. It seems CO assigned is not fixed. First Contact is GSM Adelaide CO Andrej.

still same status for me. FOR FURTHER ASSESSMENT. I was able to secure today letter from my university for medium of instruction is English, for uploading in IMMI. Still waiting for my updated AFP via AU Post. Unfortunately, even raising the concern of functional english, there is no feedback from CO Andrej Hopefully, the uni letter is good enough for Andrej. Applied : 29 Mar 2019 IELTS exam date: August 2014 used when i process my 489 visa.

Did you only submitted Academic Transcript A_D for Functional English? or uploaded either PTE or IELTS latest test results? 3) Asking English ability for main and secondary both . I have had uploaded functional English for both of us . ( All academic Transcripts )

Yes, click i provided the information.... Just re-uploaded the same AFP National Police Check i have submitted last time. It was not mentioned, i need to submit a new one. I already clock option 33 back then from IMMI Purposes but still it show NAME CHECK ONLY on the final version. This is from www.afp.gov.au link. In case they will required me to provided an updated AFP Police check, i have applied again last night and still waiting for delivery of certificate with possible delays due to Covid.

Hi Jessi, I will keep you guys posted as well. Yesterday, my immi status is INITIAL ASSESSMENT when i raised the concern, this morning, it was updated to FURTHER ASSESSMENT. Hopefully, will received positive outcome from the GSM Adelaide.

I did not attached my old ielts taken 2014 i used when we lodge 489 visa offshore thru an agent. Reason, it is not a required documents to uploaded and no tab in IMMI specifying to upload old ielts certificate. I assumed he access my previous 489 application dated 2016. That is my assumption since it was mentioned it was 3years since before i lodged my 887 visa

The personnel from IMMI hotline, did not mentioned how many days the CO will reply on his email this morning forwarding my query for both AFP and english functionality. I was force to get a new AFP certificate just now to comply with CO request

Yes. It is from GSM Adelaide office. I applied on shore, living in AU for almost 3 years now. CO is Andrej. He is also asking for Complete Disclosure AFP National Police Certificate that i have already provided last March 2019 when i lodged my visa. I called 131881 and ask for guidance why CO is requiring updated English functionality wherein it is not a requirement for 887 visa from 489. We have an 1 hour coordination via phone and they told me they sent email to CO. The understanding of the personnel from 1311881 is YES, no english functionality required for primary applicant. Can you suggest what is the best thing to do next for the requested english functionality and AFP Police Check. I'm afraid i will have issue with my CO. Is GSM Adelaide very strict on this requirement? Thanks
