I am writing this email to all my friends here who have been granted PR or going to get it soon. Like we did before to make it fast, the processing of 887, now we need to make 1 more representation to our local MP's. This is regarding Federal Government Home Builder $25000 Grant in which Govt. has not included the Permanent Residents. So please write emails to your local MP's to give them a feedback and suggest them to include P.R. so that it will be good for us and also for the economy. I have already given my feedback to my local MP and Premier. You guys are welcome to give more suggestions. Please pass this message to all your friends who have been granted PR in last 4-5 months. Thanks a lot.

    Hi mate,

Just my tot on this i think if you really want people to send emails regards this you will have to post on here what you wrote to your premier and local MP. Most people willl not take the time to compose a letter and send but wnt mind copying and sending.. 🤣🤣🤣🤣.

On a serious note... thats a good idea all shoukd benefit from the grant and not just citizen.. another form of discrimination..

oalabi - Of course we need to update details on the new passport. But do we have to send Form 929 if we have already updated it in the Immiaccount?

Not really.. when i updated mine.. i only did in immi account and that didnt disturb my grant ir anything.. in fact my grant has the updated passport.. check your vevo it will shows your most cyrrent passport details. That will give you an indication if it has been updated.

    Hi Seniors, @nudgee,

Just wanted to get your advice.

I am a 887 applicant and applied for 887 visa this month. We are expecting our first baby end of this year.

We are planning to bring over my wife's parents for a month or 2 to help with looking after the new born later this year.

What visa category should my wife's parents use? Or should we apply for them?

Also would getting my wife's parents here for a few months have any negative impact on the grant of the 887 visa or any negative impact on the timelines of the 887 visa. Appreciate your advice.

    Thanks so much

    Apply for visa600 tourist stream..

Bringing your parents will definitely not affect you application.. the applications are separate to each other.

If it will make you feel better I brought my mum and mother inlaw on separate occassion.

  11. It is even super frustrating.. nerve breaking waiting for grant after request and first contact compared to waiting for first contact... the rate at which i refresh my email is super depressing.. i salute everyone waiting. If my grant doesnt come soon enough. I might just loose my shit..

Honestly it shouldnt even matter. All this issues with English requirement is BS. On what bases are asking for new English when its obvious you already granted 489 visa because they fulfilled that requirement. What ask again. its same as saying that your Bachelor or master or doctorate degrees have expired. I am more than shot of word to explains this BS. This is just some form of discrimination because a sane person would only be interested in the two requirement for 887 which is did the applicant live in regional/designated region for 2 years and did they work full time equivalent for a year. its that simple. Honestly if i have the time i will be doing my PHD on Discrimination within the Australian immigration process.😞. I hope everyone on here will support when hat time comes.

N/B just venting no offence intended😀

this was me venting in the morning. they are just playing us. doing what they like.. rubbish.

Found it.. Could have updated it before. Atleast now they did it after several complaints I guess. I haven't yet got any reply to the email I asked to clarify about English Requirement. 😄

I will suggest everyone who was asked English requirement to upload because what this update means is that at the time of decision making you must all applicant must have functional english. Sneaky bastards always find a way to twist things up. Now everyone asked for English does not have a basis  for complaining. 😦
