  1. Line 11 : We will be contact you if we need additional information. That sentence is grammatically wrong! Yet, they demand to see proof of functional English in applicants...
  2. Congrats to all who have received grants and good luck for those who are eagerly awaiting. When I saw for the first time that everybody is looking forward to their 'Golden Email", I imagined the email would actually have some golden emblem, you know something like the Canstar logo or the likes.....I realized later the letter is just black and white
  3. I submitted a letter from my off-shore University that all instruction in my higher degree was conducted in English. I merged that letter with the degree certificate and uploaded. That's all. I have no idea weather the C/o had a look at it or not. My IELTS that was submitted for 489 had expired before I submitted my 887.
  4. That is fine. However, make sure that these words are there too. "Complete Disclosure All Offenses Released". That is what my agent asked me to check once I receive it.
  5. Great. I'd seen the name come up in the forum a few times. I applied through an agent and nowhere in the grant letter that I received does it mention an office
  6. There you go, Megrand1....yours is not far away....
  7. I hope you'll be contacted soon. Please do not worry too much if not receiving this PR soon is not gonna hurt you in anyway and your life goes on without much hassle. I said that cuz getting mine quickly meant a great deal to me as something very important in my life depended on it. The deadline was to be the end of January 2021. If I didn't get my PR before that, then the opportunity would have gone bye bye...outta the window. I applied 31 July, 2019. At that time, I was looking at 24-26 months of process time. So I settled myself down and let go of the dream of getting the opportunity. Cuz I knew I wouldn't get the PR in time anyway. If I won't get it, why worry. On the other hand, if I am destined to, it will come to me. Then, all of a sudden COVID hit. Case officers raced through the files like from out of the blue. And I got it. That is why I say, if your life does not depend on it, relax, it will come to you soon.
  8. If you have not visited India after you received the Indian PCC, it is highly unlikely that a C/o would ask for that again for your 887. Having said that, each case is different, so it might be requested again depending on the nature of your case/case officer or by mistake. I was concerned of the same when I applied, I was like you (not from India though). Therefore, what I did was I attached copies of my previous PCCs for 489 so that it wouldn't have to be requested even by a careless C/o. I got the grant without any issues. The way forward is minimizing the risk of CO's requesting this and that to the left, right and centre if you are aiming for a direct grant. If you are uncertain for any reason whatsoever, you probably should apply for a new Indian PCC well in advance and upload it.
  9. I do not know for sure but you might ask from the JP what criteria he/she would like to see met before signing.
  10. You may need to change the text according to your requirements. I got this from a post by some member of this forum. Did not use it myself, though.
  11. I frankly do not comprehend why. They need a system upgrade, I think. Hope you and all who have been left in the dark will get contacted soon.
  12. I got my direct grant this morning. Thanks a bunch anyway!
