  1. Hi Lisa, I am a theatre nurse and passed ANMAC, but it seems to me they are really picky on those references. I had 2 references from 2 different hospitals and ANMAC requested both of them to be more detailed. So, they want like a paragraph more than you had originally. for example instead of : I can assist in such and such operations, I had to write: scrubbing, gowning, gloving, preparing instruments, maintaining aseptic sterile field and so on... Basically take a task you do and milk it ... Lol but a paragraph added to each references satisfied them. If I find mine I will pm you, but it completely different area of course. Hope you can resolve it. Good luck. Oxi

  3. I was trained in Ukraine originally although worked in UK for 12 years and ANMAC accredited my diploma equivalent to australian bachelor degree this month. What is the difference between uk diploma trained and degree trained nurses, is it hours, modules? Anyone got any info what degree transcript looks like? So at least I can compare mine before I apply?
  4. Thanks Caz and Ian! I haven't even started AHPRA yet, but reading all your news I better start ASAP... Why it took 8 month, is it average wait now for AHPRA?

  7. Hi Mandi, thank you very much for the suggestion about 190 visa, I overlooked it previously. I am very happy for you that you are already in Adelaide!!! Please let us know on your return how did it go. I am collecting documents for ANMAC at the moment, unfortunately in Kent nothing is free re certifying docs, crown court quoted £70 for each signature, so I think will go with notary public. I am struggling with my CV Aussie style. Could you be so kind to help me with it? Would really appreciate it. Looking forward hearing about your trip. Thanks, Oxi )
  8. Just found out - 489 visa for our family (2adults, 2 kids) will cost 7040.00AUS!!!!!!!!:0 is it the best one to go for? Or any other suggestions? Oxi
  9. Oh my god!! I haven't even thought about it - thank you mummy tummy. Planning to apply for PR for whole family I suppose, haven't look that far yet :0 Will definitely research the paperwork needed for the whole family before going to the notary. Thank you very much Oxi
  10. Hi Nat, nice to know you and hoping we can share tips and ideas to get us through all this to the final destination. Good luck with your Ielts test, I had to do it twice, as writing essay didn't score enough points first time round. After the first fiasco, I have spend about a week watching you tube lessons about structuring the essay - that really helped me. However, English is my second language, so you probably be alright. If you learn the structure - it will help you write an essay quicker, as 1 hour is really tight for two writing parts. Another mistake to avoid - on reading test I didn't write my answers on answer sheet, but in the book with text, then run out of time transferring the answers at the end - so write it straight away onto answer sheet - the rest is easy. Good luck with it!! re: certifying documents - just started the list what to certify, phoned around notaries - got a quote for 7 docs around £100, planning to do couple of copies of each. Requested verification paper from NMC. Next - request IELTS centre send results to ANMAC and AHPRA. Keep in touch, would love to hear about your progress. Oxi
