I agree blossom, some of the houses we went to see, had advertisement photos from 6 years ago ! Short term furnished then look for a longer term.

Enjoy your time before you come, you will still have waves of nerves when you get here, 6 weeks on and I'm on an emotional roller coaster! Ha ha I think adelaide is fantastic place just need to get the job part sorted xx good luck x

Hi guys I'm stood in my empty house container went yesterday that big stress out the way everything fitted in to the last inch. Pss were fab ! The campervan is sold ,I've just been to my daughters leaving assembly and the dogs rabies anti body levels are all good so she can come in six moths x the house completes hopefully in a few hours ! Just to say the goodbyes over the next week and then holiday de stress time in Vietnam, before phase 2 starts, houses , jobs and all that fun..... I won't lie It been stressful ...but I don't help myself not the most organised if I can do it anybody can ! I will be in adelaide form the 13th march so any body wants to meet up let me know x x. Now for thelast time of walking out my front door, best get those keys to the estate agent x x

Hi petal, we are exporting our dog, hopefully but things are not going to plan with her as she is not getting a high enough antibody reading which we have been trying to get to for the last 6 months and we are leaving in the next few weeks , Ideally with a dog you need to have rabbies injection at least 7 months before travel followed but a blood test at least 4 weeks later which show a specific antibody count. Once this is satisfactory you can export the dog 6 months later. You will need to book your quarintine and flight , once you have these dates all other bit need doing 45 days prior to departure. We had a quote from pet air uk and it was extortionate ! Transfur, were really helpful. I'm going to look into doing it ourselves if possible. A pet export guy Paul Jeffrey at Transfur told me The issue with the quarintine in Melbourne is that the filgts that land in the time that quarintine is open have a really long stopover I cannot remember off the top of my head but too long like 12 hrs or something. The flights into Sydney are much less but apparently Sydney quarintine is closing for refurbishment this year. he felt that because Melbourne would be the main quarintine center they would need to address the flight options. For or us with a small dog it's going to be about £3500 but that price dose not include the vet bills here. I have to say I have put working out all the details of getting her to oz on a back burner which I will get to grips with nearer the time because untill her bloods come back ok it is still going to be another 6 months at least, she is going to stay with a friend x. Hi Sam , yeh I'm a bit calmer now I've sorted out some big bits in the last couple of days and I think I needed to realise that this is happening! The visa takes so long you say you going but you don't want to think to far ahead in case it doesn't happen! But this is happening ! Yeh x x. We are stopping in Vietnam for 4/5 weeks on our way out. we are leaving U.K. on the 9 th February and arrive Adelaide 13th march x x How is everything for you guys x x

Hi Karen and alex, Sean keeps reading the forums and panicking about work, he is an electrician! It's a massive move and a big gamble ! Selling the house leaving everything, but life is for adventure. it takes guts to pack up and leave a comfortable life ! we are all doing this yeh!!! we don't know what's in store and that is scary and exciting !,,, x we are packing up in a few weeks and arrive in Adelaide on the 13 th of march, I can say that now I booked the flights last night! I was having a massive panic on Monday but I've sorted lots out this week and I feel better . Airbnb is a fab web site to find temp accomidation on. Hi alex and Karen we are packing up with pss on the 28/29 jan ! How is every one else doing we are super stressed ! The dog is not getting high enough result with her rabies anti bodies ! So at the moment she still cannot come for another 6 months at least ! ! At £250 a go ! The dog didn't even cost £250 ! We are packing up the container on the 28 th 29 th jan and still cannot decided to bring the camper or not such conflicting views on the forums, the paperwork for that is worse than for the visa !! Ha ha ( pss have been excellent giving me both options up untill the 19 th ! The house completes on the 30 Th. Hopefully ! Jobs end on the 21st, booked flights tonight for 4 weeks in Vietnam still to book filgts to oz and accomidation for when we arrive ! My disorganisation is starting to catch up with me ! Aghhhh x x

Hi Linda, I looked into this a couple of weeks ago, I went through a couple mortgage advisers the main problems I encountered were, all of the good buy to let mortgage rates were not available to 1st time landlords. The mortgage advisers came up with the same problem as you are having simultaneous purchase, another issue is residing out of the country. He did find us a mortgage with Natwest 3 years the cost was £1995 with 3.34%. We had already sold our house but were just looking into it as an option we are exchanging tomorrow !
