QF09 and QF10 and any QF or BA flights from LHR to Sydney and Melbourne generally go over Singapore. You don't change planes or have a different flight number but you get up to about an hour or so on the ground in Singapore while the crews change and the plane is refuelled.

You can check the exact route of your aircraft by going onto QF (or whomsoevers) website and looking at 'flight schedules'.

It's quite nice as Changi airport (Singapore) is great -huge, spacious and lots of nice areas to sit and wander - and it's nice to be able to stretch your legs and have a freshen up.

When you get back on the plane you go through a mini bag check and show your boarding pass and passport again and some people will join the plane in Singapore.

When you arrive in Sydney you clear customs and immigration --- fill in some foms on the plane --- then transfer by coach (or train if you prefer) from the international to the domestic terminal (about 10 mins drive ish).

Your bags can be checked all the way through from UK to Adelaide

It means when you arrive in Adelaide it's really quick and you'll be off the plane, got your luggage and out into the sunshine in no time at all.
