This is the first post for us,Bren 44 brickie,Julie 40 receptionist( re-training at present for teacher assistant) Erin 11 lippy princess Jasmine 7.

Can anyone give advice on the availabilty of vacancies for construction supervisors in and around Adelaide.I am a brickie by trade,advanced city and guilds,26 years in trade,with the last 10 in management.Would considor working back on the tools,as i have kept my hand in working for myself,and on the side for friends and recently built a new build for myself.

Got my PR visa on my trade skills and would possibly like to go self employed eventually,but not sure what licenses i would need for managing or working on sites.Got all Uk tickets,cscs cards,nvq 4,first aid,smsts,etc.etc. Hope to arrive in adelaide late 2011 as visa runs out in July 2012.

Any advice on the work situation would be gratefully received,as have some doubts about getting work.

There is always jobs for building Supervisors the only thing is you need a licence try this site should give you what you need to know It can take a while to get one you need to show them things like you know the timber framing code .OCBA - Licensing and registration
