hairdressers

Hi im moving to Adelaide in September with my family, im a hairdresser and looking for work. Im finding it hard to choose a suburb near the beach but if i were to find work first it would help me decide where to live. Does anyone know of any salons that may be looking for hairdressers? Or if there are any suburbs that have a good few salons were my opportunity would be higher thanks

I dont know about the industry personally but i do know there is always jobs advertised in the paper every week....have a look on careerone.com (jobs advertised in paper will be on this site) seek.com and gumtree.com.....might be worth looking at the large shopping centres as they will have a list of salons, http://www.seafordcentral.com.au/aspx/home.aspx, http://www.centrocolonnades.com.au , http://www.westfield.com.au/marion theres more but these are the ones down south

Hi Jo,

 

I am too a hair dresser. We've been here two weeks now. I am waiting until we move to our more permanent residence before i get a job. There are lots of salons around everywhere. Most areas have a salon if not more than one. You should have no problem getting a job once you move. The saturday paper always has atleast half a page of hair dressing jobs. So you'll be fine.
