Whats included in unfurnished rental?

Just wondering what is generally included in an unfurnished rental property, eg fridge, curtains and curtain rails, washer, blinds etc.

Also are any bills included - I'm sure I've read somewhere that council tax and water rates are included in the rent.

Thanks in advance for any help

You will generaly find curtains and blinds in the rental, but if not the curtain rails should be there. The hot plate and oven will be there, but probably not a fridge, freezer, washing machine.....white goods are movables, but sometimes you get a fridge. Council rates and water rates are usually included, but you will probably have to agree to pay any excess water charges.

As Rachel said, you get a cooker, if your lucky you get a dishwasher, there are usually blinds or curtains up, but fixture wise you are just renting the house in an unfurnished house agreement.

Rent does include rates which is great and makes a massive difference when you look into buying...the water rates are included but you pay for useage...some landlords cover a part of this bill too and you pay for the excess costs of water or

we got a deal that the landlord covers a certain amount of the water usage costs and we pay for it at a dicounted rate and when we go over the agreed limit we pay for the water usage cost at full rate.

This is so we care for the gardens etc...as rental agreements say you have to keep the gardens...keep the grass alive!!
