For more information please drop into the shop, Michaels Beach Road Barbers, Shop 2 88 Beach Road Christies Beach 83824569 or call Lesley on 0452575771.
  2. Quality barbering skills required. Michael's Beach Road Barbers is currently looking for another barber. Hours can be discussed, but NO late nights, NO Sundays and only half day on a Saturday. We came here for a good work life balance and we are sure you did too. The shops opening hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm and Saturday 8am to 12 noon. If you are that person or know of someone who is or maybe even due to arrive in SA soon please either call into the shop at 88 Beach Road Christies Beach or drop us a note or PM on here. Thanks Lesley and Michael
  3. Hi folks. Recently took over a Barbers at Christies Beach. We are currently looking for another Barber so if any of you; are a barber, are married to one or know of one either one here now or arriving soon we would love to hear from you. There isn't a 'Barber' course at TAFE here, only hairdressing so quality Barbers are thin on the ground. Cheers Michael and Les
  4. Hi im originally from Glasgow have an XJR and own the barbers on Beach Road Christies Beach. Call in and say hi and we can arrange a ride out. Cannae promise it'll be like the Oban run or the green Welly though ha ha Michael

    All go now

It's a huge relief isn't it? Currently staying at friends after moving out of our house in Erskine in June. Going to say goodbye to my family and friends in Ireland on Saturday then flying out of Edinburgh via London Singapore and Bali and arriving Adelaide 23 Aug. Feel like we are in the remake of Planes trains and automobiles ha ha. Good luck x
  6. Oh I'm so excited now. We are arriving 23 august. Hope we get a chance to see them this year
  7. Hi we are finally arriving for good in August. My hubby is from Glasgae and Im from Belfast but we have been living in Erskine for 10 years and our container comes on Wednesday! We love love to meet up with you guys once we get there so please let us know
  8. HI We are from Erskine until next Wednesday and then we are off! We went to Adelaide last August to validate our visas. we were lucky because we have great friends who we stayed with but think you have good advice here already. What I would say is do take coats and jeans etc because although not like our winter here it is still cool definitely not shorts and flip flops weather. Congratulations on your visa btw. Its a fantastic feeling. You will absolutely love it. Good Luck
  9. HI Folks. I know a lot of you are heading home for various different reasons and I wish you all good luck. We are on our way to Adelaide and the only thing stopping us is selling our house. 11. Kids are just too smart, especially the bit about working at home and work!
  12. Just to let you all know I have finally managed to get out of bed (its 1.37pm!) St Pats Day was well and truly celebrated. Then when my friend Martin said this could be the last St paddys Day we have together it really hit me what we would be giving up. I would be giving up all those weddings, birthday parties, babies being born etc. and all the christmas easter holidays etc. And anyway he said this was a good excuse to take 6 weeks off next year and visit singapore and OZ. But not all my friends could do this. However lying in bed nursing my hangover I realised that there will still be all those things just with new friends in Oz. And what with skype and the internet and email we can still stay in touch So no more tears. Im off to take 2 headache tablets and go and read my stuff on Adelaide!
  13. :chatterbox:HI and Happy St Patricks Day to anyone with Irish connections (which is probably about 95% of you) Im Irish living in Scotland for 5 years now married to a Scotsman with Irish roots! Hence Donnelly as my surname. Anyway Im sitting here with an Irish coffee for my breakfast wearing my Green "Lush of the Irish" T shirt and supporting Green Sparkly Deedle Boppers in the shape of shamrocks on my head. Listening to the dubliners at full blast. My Long suffering OH is looking at me bemused and thinking 'Is it that time of year again?'! Dear knows what the neighbours are thinking. Anyway just want to say to all of you who have made it down under to enjoy yourselves tomorrow and dont forget to wear something Green and have a drink (or 3 ) PS hope you can get Magners in Adelaide or at least a good Guiness!
  14. Hi again. Ok youll be sorry you offered cause Michael will have a 100 questions for you now. heres a few to start you; Did you bring your bike? He has a XJR 1300 in mint condition with brand new laser cans and some lovely TCP plastics so cant bear to leave it behind. He needs new leathers, should he buy them here or when we arrive? Mine are newish so im ok! What about our lids are they legal? He bought his in USA in Sept (Aria) Mines a Shoei. Any other general info such as insurance import tax re registering etc would be great. Now the practical stuff is out the way whens the next ride out?? Ha ha ha we cant wait. FYI the Easter SUnday Egg Run to Yorkhill has been cancelled No explanation. Get the feeling the police werent happy with the numbers. Looked at Foxtel website and it works out cheaper than what we are paying for Sky (currently£82.50 per month) Watched the Cup final today and incase you dont know the score Our team won 2 0! You can work it out later!

  15. Hi there, we are getting close to our 2 years soon for being here. I am afraid i am a biker, and have a gsxr1000. Love it, this place is heaven for bikes. Any questions fire away. I also have foxtel so get all the premiership, and Setanta, so get all the SPL and FA cup. It's only $15.00 per month for Setanta. Which is also showing all the 6 nations rugby live.
