We searched Immigration site and its all there and the book has sample questions and the same questions came for me. Not sure about others. They will send the approval letter within 5 working days after the test, provided you pass the test.

Hi guys another update. We have received the invitation letter for the ceremony mid April so less than 2 months!!! However, my eldest daughter will be attending a ceremony in another suburb cos she wants to go to Uni and Immigration organised an earlier date for her. Happy waiting for those of you who have done the test and are waiting for a ceremony.

I just finished my test. I got 100% Yaaaaaaaayyy Seriously the questions were really easy. By the time they verified the documents I had finished the test - took me 3 or 4 minutes. Now waiting for a ceremony.

Just an update.... We have received the email with a date for the test. 3 weeks from the date we submitted the application. My husband submitted his a day before me and he will do the test also a day before me! Not sure if this is how it is always done. Or may be just a coincidence. More later. Cheers

Just an update: We have submitted our applications online last night and received an automatic email to attach the supporting documents. We uploaded the documents this morning. Countdown starts now!

Hi We have been here for almost 4yrs and it's time for us to get ready for our citizenship test. Hopefully will submit the application on 2nd Jan 2015. As I understand once we submit the application they will send us the booklet and a time for the exam. Once we are through then we get invited to one of centres for the ceremony. Any suggestions appreciated. Wish you all happy holidays!

Is it possible to grow avocado here? Is the temperature too cold for it? I have been told that growing is no issue but you don't get fruits. Any advise? I like how people grow avocado plants from seeds and would be an experience to watch the process! I will buy couple or fruit trees from Bunnings and some citrus. Many thanks

Many have suggested that we get an independent Engineer to look at the house even before we think of buying the house! Which one did you use? What do they look for? How much can it cost?

I started gardening in pots last year and did very well. I planted variety of herbs, tomatoes, egg plants, chillies and a grafted passion fruit vine. I just saw fruits on the vine and am very excited!! Now I want to plant more fruits! Is it too late for this year? Would you recommend buying the plants or growing from seeds? thanks for the feedback. How many of you have fallen in love with house you rented out?! What did you do? Our landlord wanted to sell the house before we occupied it but was not successful. Hi guys, Just to let you all know that we received our grant letter this morning. We submitted our application online on 2nd Jan 2013. We did our medicals in March. Early July we were asked to submit our daughter's overseas police report and then they asked for mine as well. Yesterday we submitted the overseas police reports for all of us. We were told that if there is no further documents required then we should get the grant letter overnight. We checked early morning and there they were - a separate letter for each member of the family. Months of waiting and frustrations at times ended this morning. We can now relax and start making some plans for the future. I opened this thread to share our timelines and experiences but never thought that it will go on to 56 pages!!!! Good on you guys! Good luck to you all who are waiting for the grant letter. It will come through soon. It is moving now????!!!!!! Mari

We submitted application online on 2nd Jan 2013. We got a CO in April. Requested for medical and did medical in April. Last week requested for daughter's overseas police certificate. Now on it. Sorry guys but don't look like we will get the visa before the end of the year. I am on a post paid plan and I was not able to change the plan because I am on a bridging visa! How frustrating is it! All the plans are on hold until our visa comes through.

Hi, Just to let you know that I just found out that it's free delivery to Australia since 8th march. I placed a huge order and received it via DHL in just 3 days!!!! There are great bargains and every day the prices are going down!!! Now wondering should have waited for a few more days!!!!! Hehehehe

Congrats! We applied in Jan so hopefully not a long wait for us! Did you have to do medicals? If so is it a full medical or just a few tests? We have checked the cost of it incase we are asked to do one. It costs A$385 for an adult & A$285 for a child. Waiting without any news is hard and frustrating but it's life. Hang in there everyone - our turn will come!

No news from them but we called Immigration today!!!!!!?????? They said that a CO has been allocated to us and CO will contact us if further docs required. I guess its a standard reply. No further information was given and our page also has not been updated. I think they give us 28 days to upload the documents and after that it just stays that way if they dont update the system. I have read that some people have got the visa grant letter and their page still hasn't changed. So no worries. Will keep you all updated. Mari
