  4. May be if your call gets picked up by bit more empathetic operator - he will dig into it? I would keep ringing till they get exhausted . And I would keep lodging the complaint as the last resort . If it comes to worse case - beyond 12 months complaint will be the next resort - rather than annoying them with a complaint I would ring them ?
  5. Congrats mate -- what a way to start 2018 !!
  6. @Kaur , I can see in the comments in your spreadsheet you have Dat rang you and asked for form 956 . Which form did he ask for - the one to assign the agent on your behalf or the one to withdraw the agent . If Iam recalling correctly I think it's you who had issued with the agents MARA right ?
  7. Many be they are drafting the grants for our juice sipping club !!!

  12. Actually 30Nov17 who had applied on 30/11 god his direct grant on 23/05. So to finish December applications COs took more 1 months (and not yet finished ! ) - having said that they re-opened 2nd and 3rd timers files in a significant manner in the past month- yet the month was looong and deadly quiet. Now they are kind of catching up. atleast each day we get some update from someone. no longer days are quiet without any news at all.. That itself is an improvement ?
  13. That is possible. Lets wait and see..they might be carrying out all their investigations at the moment ? Every time I see a notification from your name in my tapatalk app I drop all the work and peep in hoping its a news about a direct grants.. ha ha.. 2 hours to go or Monday new day - new week - new hopes ?
  14. You never know mate !! Lets hope for the best ?
  15. @Nelakash Today might be your lucky day ... Also is Kibria and active member .. no news from his end.
  16. Poonam - so happy for you !! Grant and the new house !!! Glad all worked out at the end...
  17. Medicare levy surcharge and rebate are two different scenarios - correct surcharge is based on income. Rebate is if you decide to have a private insurance - you can claim the rebate based on the income . So if you decide to have a private insurance better to find out if it's medicare rebate claimable.
  18. The other fact is LHC - more info from below http://www.health.gov.au/internet/main/publishing.nsf/Content/health-phi-fact27.htm Also insurance is something you pay for the risk. I am continuing my private insurance . If you are continuing- you have to switch your visitors cover to resident cover otherwise its pointless. Basically the visitor cover ( thats what they call for covers offered for temporary visa s ;basically covers minimum benefits plus based on what you pay - but if you have medicare you can workout a cover that still covers hospital and add extras cover on top .) Yes - ambulance cover is a must. LHC is something to consider - say when you are 50 you feel like getting a private insurance - then LHC comes to play. also if you are continuing the private insurance make sure your cover is eligible for medicare rebate . Also point to note extras cover is not eligible for medicare rebate or LHC. You have to have a hospital cover to be eligible for that. This is my understanding about this whole medicare story ?
  19. Iam a January baby . Applied on 11/01 on my 29th birthday - hope they will give me my grant before I turn 30 ! ?
  20. Good news - now you have a case officer and file is opened and things are on the go! What have you attached for work and residence proof.
  21. Very true. ? May be combine where possible- things like payslip to few pdfs
  22. Welcome to the forum Xubi ! Below is some good piece of info with regard to the document checklist - the one which I used to compile the documents. That list covers almost everything as per my knowledge. https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/trav/visa-1/887-/Skilled-Regional-visa-(subclass-887)-document-checklist# Apart from them ; based on your situation if other things applicable like stat decs etc . I think you will have to compile docs to prove your residency after you arrived to Adelaide to settle - 2 years residency and 1 year work within that time (35 hours per week) . With regard to the baby - some other member with the baby experience will be able to help you ? Good luck and its always better to be prepared and see if there are any missing bits of documents so you have time to arrange everything. Also attached is the initial check list I did for myself (there might be missing bits though ? ) DOCUMENT.pdf
  23. See - silence brought the best news you could have!! Congrats mate.. Get ready @Tpsk @nelakash @Ata Tpsk Nelakash ATA Thewsha ( Not a Member)
  24. Thats my reading too!! So silence might come up with some thing more exciting at the end. Direct grants were something scarce for last few weeks. Now that we have crossed the line of new year ?
