Can you get a letter from your employer.. how about super statements .. do you have any contracts or appoinment letter from employer.. try to get a letter from the employer in letterhead stating dates hours and pay.. Suhana, what I feel is if there is a gap between pcc and application date its possible that they ask for a new one. And its also possible they put extra emphasis on main applicants info. Not always they ask things just because we have made any mistake. In your case out of your 24 months 2 months are not covered by afp.. that might be the case.. this is just what I think.. Anyway dont panic.. there has been many instances where they ask for additions docs , sometimes the docs you have already submitted.. So hang on there and if you feel submit a new one to cover the entire period do it.. Best thing is your file is on the top of the pile.. So things have already started working out for you.. Yes..I also think so.. at one stage CO contact or direct grant was around 4 months and 25 days from the application datr.. now its around 5 months from the date applied.. What I feel is if you have not lived there more than 12 months you wouldnt need it.. havibg said that there has been instances where COs has asked for pcc s for short trips back home.. I applied through a migration agent and he said nowadays COs some times ask for overseas pcc.. he said his last few cases he had to submit.. So what I thought was what if I have it readily available.. I uploaded the new pcc from SL and Australia.. I am desparate to get PR as soon as possible( I know we all are).. So my logic is provide as much as evidence , supporting docs without letting the CO to request any missing bits.. If CO has everytbing he needs that will make the process faster.. Thats the confusing bit.. I rang melbourne consulate and they said fine to apply online.. then I rang Canberra and they said for Immigration purposes you have to go through consulate and should have immi stamp othetwise immi want accept the pcc.. so applied via canberra high commission.. pcc does come with their stamp.. so I believe thats the way to go.. just dowload the forms from website and may be express post them with cheques and all documents.. if u have attach a copy of your old pcc.. that might make the process faster.. may be do it as soon as possible. Have you traveled back to Srilanka within these 2 years?? What I feel is you never know what they would ask. It totally depends on the CO.. best bet would be being prepared. I travelled for 2 weeks within 2 tears and I also had a gap sibce 489 police report and arrival to Australia. I applied for a new pcc from SL just to be on safe. Iam a January applicant.. so I dont know if they will ask for it or not.. but incase they ask for it that will delay the process.. my pcc from colombo nearly took 12 weeks and my partner got within 8 weeks.. so what I would suggest is just apply for it to be on the safe side. They usually update by the beginning of the 3rd week of the month.. thats what I have observed.. no fixed date though.. I have also being checking it daily to see if there is any update..
