cannot be 100% sure. but when I called them the message that you get is that you must place your claim prior to either 1st or 2nd of July otherwise not getting anything:( also if I remember correctly there is a bill that might be coming into effect that changes the eligibility for subsidies...someone posted new about that last week..

yep, after getting a PR! hopefully you get it prior to the 1st of July. I think those who get PR after 1st of July might not be entitled to child care subsidy:(

I checked with Centrelink and the officer confirmed that we are eligible for child care benefit/rebate (lump sum etc. ) ONLY after gaining PR. Called yesterday just in case the info was incorrect and got the same response via phone.
