  1. We're happy for you comrade Savour the sweetness of sensational bliss, you deserve it. It's time to celebrate. Cheers!!!
  2. Yes dear you are right I went home for 6 months after lodging 887 visa application, plus 2 more months afterwards for Christmas. It was sweet beyond compare
  3. For Christ' sake comrade @Russki please re-submit AFP, asap. We both know they're playing idiots and a**holes... sometimes. You are not alone... most of us here (your secret admirers) are also waiting for your much deserved PR grant. I have a feeling it won't be long.
  4. Hi I don't think PR expires in 5 years because the period of your stay in Australia will be indefinite. What expires in 5 years is the travel facility on your 887 permanent visa. After 5 years when your travel facility expires and you're offshore (outside AUS) and you wish to re-enter as permanent resident OR you're onshore (inside AUS) and you wish to travel, you will need to apply for a Return Resident visa. https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/permanent-resident/overseas-travel
  5. PR Visa Granted today 30th April 2019 CO Sophorn THANKS to all and to this group, particularly to @Russki for making this journey less lonely.
  6. Hi Allan Admit the "accident" or plead guilty AND (with deep remorse ) beg the court whether they could put you on a good behaviour bond or order you participate in a voluntary community service program. Wish you all the best mate https://lylawyers.com.au/how-to-avoid-a-criminal-conviction/
  7. Only the main applicant (for 887 visa) must meet the 2 years residency and 1 year full time work requirement. We could find no where and there is nothing in the immi website that a family member has to satisfy the 2 years residency condition. Apart from holding an eligible visa, a family member included in the 887 application must meet health and character requirements. https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-listing/skilled-regional-887#About
  8. A 489 visa holder who marries has to advice or let the dept. of home affairs (immigrations) know about the change to his relationship status. https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-listing/skilled-regional-provisional-489/invited-pathway#When After that, I think he could bring his spouse as member of his (as a 489 visa holder) family unit. https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-listing/skilled-regional-provisional-489/subsequent-entry-pathway#Overview
  9. You do not need to update them about the job change, but you could advice them if you feel it is necessary. https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-listing/skilled-regional-provisional-489/invited-pathway#When
  10. I'm telling you mate... either they are f*cking kidding us... or they are so terribly unhappy with their lives that they also want us to feel miserable as well. Good job COs, keep it up
  11. 02 Feb 2018 We've worked very hard (for meeting the requirements) and deserve better.
  12. Sorry mate... "bridging visa whilst waiting for the 489 does not count." https://www.australiavisa.com/immigration-news/from-a-489-to-a-887-visa/
  13. I completely agree with you Russki. Australia's national anthem is Advance Australia Fair. But with the manner they are treating us immigrants and the many times they've made us wait for 15-16 months that cost us a great deal in taking better opportunities, I'm starting to doubt and asking myself - Where's the FAIRNESS here? Are those words mean something? Or just an empty and meaningless expression of national identity? Are they saying to us - Welcome to Australia?!?
  14. I agree with Honey. A human being with a human soul treats his mate with compassion and mercy.
  15. Hi Joshua In 2.1 Applicant Details, if you leave out "Joshua" in Other Given / Middle Name, your AFP clearance will be printed - FAMILY NAME, FirstGivenName When you fill "Joshua" in 5.2 Other Names in Other Given / Middle Name, your AFP clearance will be printed - FAMILY NAME, FirstGivenName Joshua I hope I've answered your question right.
  16. I was one among those asked to supply AFP with an Alias. Originally I included my mom's birth name as Other Given / Middle Name; now they requested me to exclude or leave the name out. For example: from Joseph Francis Vaccaro Tribbiani to Joseph Francis Tribbiani (Vaccaro excluded) Uploaded below are images on how I filled up a new AFP application, as requested and the end result or my copy of National Police Certificate.
  17. Working your own business seems you are self-employed. An employment contract signed by yourselves (as directors/employee) is a self-serving statement I believe and probably inadmissible evidence, mate. Have a look and collect competent, relevant documentary evidence that can be witnessed, proved and supported by other people (such as ATO, public accountants, insurers, suppliers, buyers, contracting parties, third parties, Superannuation providers, professional or other government bodies, etc).
  18. A chronological account of processing times on how the Department of Home Affairs tested our patience (and abused our kindness) 7 to 8 months - updated on 18 January 2018 9 to 11 months - updated on 18 July 2018 12 to 15 months - updated on 17 October 2018 15 to 16 months - as of today 12 April 2019 Processing Times.pdf
  19. If you're going to submit an ONLINE complaint to the Ombudsman so that we will be one voice and united as one clamouring in unison... the crux of our argument should be "the visa processing time is NOT within the timeframe the department had mentioned at the time we filed the application"
  20. Public service in the government should not get involved in politics in order to ensure efficient and timely delivery of service, regardless of any sitting political party (be labor, liberal, national, etc.) That's why we are asking an independent Commonwealth body, the Commonwealth Ombudsman to investigate. And should they find an offence of abuse of public office - s.142.2(1) Criminal Code, we ask the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions to prosecute and take these public officials to court. https://www.cdpp.gov.au/about-us
  21. The Commonwealth Ombudsman in Australia can investigate complaints from people like us who believe we have been treated unfairly and unreasonably by an Australian Government department/agency including the Department of Immigration. There's an option where you could make a complaint anonymously and they have an online complaint form that is easy and straightforward to use. http://www.ombudsman.gov.au/making-a-complaint A short video about Commonwealth Ombudsman: https://youtu.be/KqTlhDeOUTI
  22. Last week Sophorn has also requested me to get a new AFP that includes my ALIAS. An ALIAS or ALIASES are names that a person is also known as or name(s) that a person currently uses or has been previously known as. It could be a nickname, given name, middle name, Christian name, professional name, pet names or any names. In my case, I was asked to exclude my middle name (mom's birth surname).
  23. Yes... if you're interested for a job at the department. @Russki has submitted a resume. She's now accepted as Case Officer working for the department in a covert operation as 887 visa applicant. In fact she's a double agent, a Russian spy.
  24. There is a declaration you have to sign to declare that you have never been a "bad guy", like never been in terrorist groups and all that sort of stuff. The text is preset, you just sign and witness it. This stat Dec is actually a part of 887 application pretty much. I cannot remember, where I downloaded it from... Anyone remembers? Evidence of character is penal clearance certificate or police check. https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/help-text/evidence/Pages/et-h0009.aspx
