  1. You guys need to calm down. No point arguing here. It will not make the progress any better. @Maxzone if you dont believe words or proof someone gave in, just let it go mate. Just take the proof that seems convinced to you. At the moment, I can see that 25.11.2018 applicant which is myself is the latest one got the grant in this thread if im not mistaken. Theres a guy on 24.11.2018 got called for additional documents. So pretty much thats the typical timeframe. I know all we are stressing and amid this coronavirus, things could get even worse. But based on what I said, you are not too far away now. Be patient guys! Sent from my LYA-L09 using Tapatalk

  3. What I submitted was bank statement, credit card statement which shows my spending in the state. Eastlink statements, car rego which shows my travel in the state, as I travel on daily eastlink. I live with relatives, no records on rent payout, so submitted with my relatives statutory declaration and a proof of water bills with his name on it, all needed to be certified (by JP and police). And thats it I guess. Sent from my LYA-L09 using Tapatalk
  4. GRANT!!!!! (Relative sponsored, Melbourne) Applied 25.11.2018 GRANT 13.03.2020 All you need is patience guy! Finger crossed!!! Sent from my LYA-L09 using Tapatalk
  5. Where did you get this infos from? Cheers Sent from my LYA-L09 using Tapatalk
  6. True. I am on the same boat and although I went overseas for 3 weeks a year which I think should not be a problem, but whenever someone post about this issue, my pain and worry just woke up lol. My advice is to wait for a bit longer if you already travel overseas. Then waiting time will be pain free. Sent from my LYA-L09 using Tapatalk
  7. Congrats mate! Great to here that they accept that too. I worked full time with payslips, tax notice, super statement, employer ref. I guess that should not be a problem yeh Sent from my LYA-L09 using Tapatalk
  8. It could be those lucky random pick I think, if the info is correct. Other than that, I highly doubt October and November applicants will be touched before new year. Time for them to clear backlog and work on September applicants. I am already so frustrated. Just keep on waiting though :( Sent from my LYA-L09 using Tapatalk
  9. I lodged my application last November with 6.5 weeks overseas. I think if you didn't stay for over 4 weeks a year, then it should be alright. 6 weeks overseas in total out of 104 weeks (2 years) is considerably acceptable. We work, and we need some leisure time. Thats the common sense. But if you haven't lodged your application, and want to be on the safe side without any dramas, just wait for another 6 weeks and apply. My theory might be wrong and I am risking it with my application :( so finger crossed. Sent from my LYA-L09 using Tapatalk
  10. Haha its a typo I guess, should be 2018, he submitted docs updated in June . Sent from my LYA-L09 using Tapatalk
  11. I think the current timeframe does not apply to earlier applicants, its more for the current applicants at the time of their lodgement. When I did my lodgement, it showed 12-14 months, which makes sense to the current rate though. Hopefully I can get my application assigned to CO soon. Finger crossed! 12. Ah yeah make sense. I thought you could just keep your EOI for 189 and wait for the invitation. If it was issued, then just fork out the money and lodge it while on 489. 189 processing is always faster. I just got an information on updated 189 visa processing time: its now 18-33 months lol. Looks like the immi will prioritize us 887 and some other regional soon. Hopefully mate :( Sent from my LYA-L09 using Tapatalk
  13. Whattt, why not go 189 but 489? Sent from my LYA-L09 using Tapatalk
  14. Congrats on your grant mate! What did your agent submit initially and what did CO ask more? Please share us a bot more details on that. Much appreciated! Enjoy your life in Australia mate! Sent from my LYA-L09 using Tapatalk
  15. Oh mate, 489 lets you travel in and out of Australia, so I don't see anything wrong with that?! Sent from my LYA-L09 using Tapatalk
  16. Its quite a simple question isn't it? And I think you already answered it yourself. You hold 489 and your wife hold 489, then say yes and give the details of that?!! Or what are you confusing? Sent from my LYA-L09 using Tapatalk
  17. Any chance u can screenshot the email content? Sent from my LYA-L09 using Tapatalk
  18. Hi guys, I heard people said the immi did some random email to Sept-Nov applicants stating that they will get back to the applicants soon. Is it true? What are the emails look like? Sent from my LYA-L09 using Tapatalk
  19. Congrats mate! Just wondering what was the reason for more payslip? Didn't you provide enough payslips for 52 weeks? And also its so strange that why didn't they request those in the first contact
  20. Good to hear mate. Make me feel more relaxed and not stressing out about my case too as I did only total 6.5 weeks but in 2 stretches. Best of luck and hope the agent is on point of what he's saying in your case. Did you double check with immigration too?
  21. Hmmm the work requirement is for only one year in those 2 years residence. So I guess even if we are unemployed now but already got that full time 1 year done, then it should not be a problem. Correct me if I'm wrong guys.
  22. I think you should be fine. Not to stress you out but better check with agent if that 2 months holiday all at one stretch is alright? Coz some people told me that if you are overseas more than 4 weeks each year, then you should compensate for the time exceeds, in your case, another 4 weeks. I would highly recommend you to call immi and ask them directly for a clear answer. Also to ask your agent clearly about this 2 months in one stretch holiday. You are still in the early stage of your application, hence things can be fixed as early. Let us know what they say though. Cheers.
  23. Good to hear about this. It clears many doubts for me!
  24. Hi guys, during the time I went back to home country, I made a short trip for 4 - 5 days to Thailand and Taiwan each year in the 2 years. I am wondering if I need to do PCC for Thailand and Taiwan as well? Does anyone get request from CO for these scenario? Many thanks.
  25. Your case is quite different I guess. You need 2 years residency (730 days) in Australia to be eligible for 887. However, if someone already have 730 days residence, they are also allowed for short periods of holidays each year (maximum 4 weeks a year). I am also quite confused but many people told me the same, and also from some immigration agency. I did 23 days holidays each year and applied for 887 on the 733th day since the grant of my 489. Hopefully all go well.
