Hi We have just bought a house and are breaking lease. The property will be available from the 2 January 2016. It is a 3 bedroom house in Warradale(5046) within walking distance from Westfield Marion Shopping Centre and in the Brighton Primary and Brighton High School Zones. Rent is $445/week. Please contact me for more information or if you're interested so I can put you in contact with the agent. Riana

Hi Where you guys heading to in Adelaide? Good luck it's not that bad. We arrived on the 8th of Aug and had a rental, kids in school, car and jobs for us both sorted. Shout if you need anything. Riana & kie -
HI Trev & Vicki, I chatted to the Financial Advisor the other day when they had the live chat conference on this forum and he said you only needed I think it was 4 weeks' payslips and obviously a permanent visa. According to him there's no time limit and you can get up to a 95% loan. Hope this helps a bit Riana

Hi Sarah, Do the beds include the mattresses?

Hi Deano, I've got a hubby who's 40 going on 14 where BMX'ing is involved. He's built my poor lil girls bmx's and is hoping to get them interested in the sport. He used to race as a teenager so......what can I say. We had to rehome 2 cocker spaniels, but luckily we did it back in April, so the kids are over the whole emotional rollercoster with regards to their animal friends. Good luck tonight and keep us posted!!

Hi All, We are also a family of four looking at settling down that way. We'll be arriving in Adelaide on the 4th of Aug and will keep you posted as to where we've settled in the end. Good luck with all your arrangements. Riana

We are also renting our house out and only taking boxes and bikes and are using a company called 1st Move International. Their web address is http://www.shipit.co.uk What's nice about them is that you can pack all your own boxes, they will come collect and "shrink wrap" everything into a cube so that you only pay for the space you'll be using. Transit time is only 39 days and no deposit needed. They also have a video on their site to show you how they do it. We've used shipping companies before and this is definitely the best one so far.

You go girl!!! Well done!

Nope that's the BIG MOVE!! Luckily we've been before back in 2007/2008 on a student visa and also have family over there, so we know how things work etc. Will just be a hell of a lot easier this time round financially as there's no restrictions on our visa. Good luck with yours, and will keep you posted.

Hi Nigel, No need to do anything really as it's all electronic nowadays. But if you want your visas in your passports, follow this link....... http://www.uk.embassy.gov.au/lhlh/visaevid.html

We'll have it but we're only arriving in Aug

Hi Wendy, We're almost in the same boat as you, although we were on a student visa when we returned to the UK in Jan 09. We applied for our visa just before we left Adelaide back in Nov 08 and finally got it after applying for State Sponsorship in Feb this year. We arrive on the 4th of Aug and although we will be living with family for a couple of weeks in the North East, we will be looking to settle our roots on the South Coast somewhere. Good to hear about your oh's experience on the job front. I've got an interview with an agent the day after we arrive, so will also hopefully have a job very quickly. Keep us posted on your progress! Regards Riana

Hi Jason, I was just wondering if you could share your experience of living in Christies Beach. Is it a good area for young families? What are the primary schools like? Any area we should avoid? Thx Riana

How much is the rental?
-
WE DID!! As you will see it took quite some time, until we applied for State Sponsorship. Once that came through it all happened sooo quick!

Hi Tony, Thanks for your input. I have 2 UK Steakholder Pensions and am not too sure what to do with them. One has a transfer value just short of £8k and the other one is very small. If I don't transfer them and leave them, what will happen to them and I would obviously have to change my contact details. Will they still pay out eventually even though I might not be in the UK??? Absolutely clueless, I am
