Big Bob, something doesn't seem right as ur agent said SA cant give u a 176 yet your occupation is in the SA List, I think dont let the SA 176 chance go just like that as the procedures are very clear online that u qualify for 176, further more u already did ur application, pls hang-on but have ACT as ur backup plan just incase. To thos who got COs and moved a step ahead congratulations, I believe next week al have a CO and join u up there.

Good Ozdreams this is now very clear, though am just from having the PCC al just wait for it, as for meds I decided to chill out till CO asks and confirms to go ahead, I believe al have CO around 1st-5th of Sept.

@eclare, I just went through the automated mails that I received after odgement and it seems the 28 days could apply to uploading docs and probably exclude the meds, check out the extract below that I received from DIAC. Everyone kindly share ur experiences and thoughts, it's open to all. As for the PCC ave decided to proceed. "If you have applied for an offshore GSM visa, your case officer will contact you when you need to undertake health and character checks. TIMEFRAME FOR RESPONSE Where applicable you must provide all additional documents (identified above) within 28 days after the date of this email, otherwise your application may be decided without the additional information being taken into account."

Hi Thanks ozdreamsa this is the info I needed and confirms what I have seen on other forums, I am on it, I will only certify the payslips seems. This is good. Al wait for CO to confirm on the meds, I doubt whether I am supposed to do this b4 the CO confirms.

Hi everyone, am new to this thread but lodged my 176 yesterday the 23 Aug 2011, can someone help, I need to know when uploading docs must they be certified or I can just scan and upload them as they are? kindly help really need to upload the docs here as I have everything with me so that I don't delay the COs process.

eclare or anyone who has uploaded docs for the 176, did you have to certify the docs or just scanned and uploaded without certification by some lawyer or something? Kindly someone pls update asap am in the process and must decide now with your help of-course.

Josie, it's gonna be a +ve, dont get worried as long as you gave every doc right you are going to party with us and lodge the 176 with us.

I managed to finish the 176 online form 2 days ago, I will go through the entire application over the weekend and ascertain I filled all right then submit next week. I hope all goes well. This is exciting, the speed is amazing, could this be due to less applicants so far or just the priority??

eclare, you are a good example to the rest of us, you should get the 176 real fast and do set the red carpet for us who are coming after you!! just kiddin we are all happy for and as a matter of fact are getting more and more encouraged to do this and close it.

Hi Bob, ave added my profession otherwise all the rest are all ok, I am very lucky indeed that my professionhas switched to special conditions when am through, otherwise I would have to wiat till September.. wow aint I lucky.

Guyz this feels great I also came in from other forums but am happy with this one as I am interacting with the very people am gonna be with once I reach the other side of the ocean.. Cant wait to get that 176, let's keep this thread rolling who has already lodged his/her 176???

Thanks Bob, it will be great if the 176 process will be this superfast but as er forums they seem to be fast too at times under 2months, maximum I see is about 4-5 months.

eclare, OZdreamsa and lexbunde I equally got mine today not logn ago, my docs were also received on 19th July, now getting ready to do my 176 aplication. This sounds out of control and exciting I cant even work yet I was in the middle of a firewall configuration.

Aint this nice, My SA SS has been approved today, am so so glad about this.. am getting closer to my dream and it was so fast I dotn believe it, below are my timelines. Online Application Completed & Submitted 16 Jul 2011 Docs sent via courier on 16 Jul 2011 Complete Set of Documents Received by Immigration SA Office 19 Jul 2011 Application Decision Approved 08 August 2011 176 Visa lodged - Pending

Thanks buddy, I am currently trying to locate the team that did send their SS within the last 2 months still tryign to navigate through the forums and see if any updates exist. Thanks for your reply it makes me feel like al get gr8 friends as I do my paper work to come over there for my dream life.
