  1. Thanks Mandi! Thats the answer I was looking for, I know which documents to send but wasn't sure what ANMAC had sent!? Guess I'll send all the documents anyway then. I've read some of your posts in the past and have been very helpful. Your very close too going, how are your plans going? We hop to be there in August. Elisabeth & Kevin
  2. Happy new year everyone! We lodged our visa 190 on the 20/12/13 and I am starting my AHPRA registration, I have asked ANMAC to forward my validated documents onto them, but I'm not sure what documents they send? Do I still need to send identity documents (passport, driving licence and marriage certificate)? Any advice would be greatly appreciated Elisabeth and Kevin
  3. Hi all I'm very pleased to say my skills assessment came through today after 17 weeks and 4 days of waiting! We have now applied for SA SS and EOI (as you now have to apply simultaneously). I have to say we are really excited now and I was also pleased to see that processing times for state sponsorship is currently 3 weeks:cute: Maybe...just maybe I can lodge my visa before Christmas Liz x
  4. Don't worry I found my answer and yes I need the visa first oh well, if there's one thing I learnt when migrating..... It's all about the waiting!
  5. Hello everyone Im currently waiting for my anmac skills assessment to come through, (13 weeks so far!) and I am preparing for the next stages. Looking at aphra registration it states I need my passport and current visa for registration!? So does this mean I have to wait until I have got my 190 PR first, before even applying? I hope this is not the case as it means more waiting!!! Liz x
  6. Hi Chelsea, I'm starting to look for full time work as a midwife, working in all areas. I have 2 years experience and am currently awaiting to here from ANMAC, to apply for PR. My husband and I are hoping to make the move in march 2014, he is a senior pharmacy technician, if you could help with either of us we'd be truly grateful. Kind regards Elisabeth and Kevin
  7. Yes we are going to go for the 190 visa. Although ANMAC are saying its taking 14 weeks to process at the moment! We think having a PR visa is for us, as we have three children and we need to know where we stand. If we're staying, we're staying!
  8. We were initially looking at seaford, but after the reccie, we would consider other areas like south gawler and mt barker areas. to be honest it will depend on where the jobs are and for the first year of finding out feet may move once we get to know south Australia better
  9. Hi all! Sorry it's been awhile since we posted anything:) Just an update, we did the reccie back in December 2012 (and loved it!) and had a bit of trouble with the stupid ielts. I am dyslexic and even with special arrangements had trouble passing. I took the first test in march and I am pleased to say, I passed last week after the 4th attempt!! We have submitted our Assessment with ANMAC. Finally things are moving forward! Advice to anyone having the same trouble is don't give up x Good luck
  10. Well done that's fab news, where are you looking at going in Adelaide? I've got to wait till November to apply for my 176 as that will be a years work experience! Fingers crossed that your house sell
  11. Hi all we've booked our recki! Visiting Melbourne first to see friends that moved in march! And then to Adelaide, I can't wait! It's a shame we'll miss the monthly meet up so if anyone want to meet that would be great, but please remember you'll be bombarded with questions! Am hoping to look around the hospitals especially FMC fingers crossed that they will need a new midwife there ! I wish I could go now! Any way hope to speak to you all soon xx:jiggy:
  12. Hi all! With regards to the visa 176, have I got it right that you have 12 months from the date of issue to enter Australia to activate the visa? Also we are a family of 5, myself and my husband and three children, to activate the visa do we all have to travel into oz. I only ask as myself and my husband want to travel alone to have the time to check out the area without hawling the whole family out.

  15. Thank you for you message, we would love to get out there sooner, but want to tie-up some loss ends and save a bit more! We're looking at buying out there mainly seaveiw downs, but we don't mind really. This is main because of our dogs, we cant leave them here and there are few places to rent that allow pets:err:! Do you have a better family life out there? Our youngest was born with a rare heart condition, even though this is not a problem for moving as we've checked! We need more time with our children and just to be out of the rat race! Xxx
  16. Hi Everyone, As you can guess my names Elisabeth, I'm 29 and my husband Kevin is 31. We have three kids Harrison 9, Isabelle 8 and Aiden 6 next Wednesday! And our to chow chows Oakley 4 and Evie 15mths. We have been researching the move to Oz for a few months and it's been in my head for a couple of years now. I'm a qualified Midwife and have been working for 5 mths, kev's a senior pharmacy tech or something like that! We're coming over to Adelaide in May2013 to have a nose around and visit all areas. We are looking at moving in a years time; as I would like more experience as a midwife hear before moving and we want to take out time and have a chilled way of moving. So here we are, wanting to live our dream, meet some very good and nice people on here Nodoubt you'll be here from us very soon with some strange questions, but we'll try and research it first as it might already be here, Take care for now Liz and Kev plus the gang
