  1. Hi, I had my baby at flinders medical centre while on our 457 visa and it cost us nothing. The hospital and all but of of the neonatal nurses were fantastic and I would highly recommend it. We are from the UK though and have reciprocal agreement for Medicare.
  2. Hi Sam we chose Stirling east and it is a fantastic school. Both our girls have improved no end. The school is ranked number 16 this year on the my school rankings and being top5 public schools. There is a lovely feel for the school and my girls really enjoy going. I would recommend it to anyone. :-) the principal is a little bit on the hard going side, but the vice principal is lovely, approachable and open to suggestions! Good luck. Julia x
  3. Hi there, we are round the corner in Stirling. We have been in the hills just coming up to a year now and we love it. Our 2 yo goes to the ranges at Aldgate and our other 2 daughters aged 6&7 go to Stirling east primary. If you want to meet for a coffee I'd be more than happy to meet up, either in Aldgate, Stirling or you can come to our place. I'll pm you my mobile number cheers julia x
  4. Chianti Classico is favulous if you hae a couple of hundred dollars. I can highly recommend their specialty rabbit :-)
  5. You can get clotted cream In food land. I've had it before, it only comes In a small tub and is expensive though. I reckon you'll have to substitute with whipped cream and hope no one notices! ;-)
  6. Hope so then. It was a man stood with a mobile gun behind a car and he was with 3 police officers on bikes. He walked off after I went past which made me think they were going to come and I slowed down to 40 all the way down the road in anticipation of being pulled over but they never came. I had heard that they have to pull you over but you never know with technology these days. Diane My speedo may run high as my sat nab always seems to be lower than the speedo when I use it so fingers crossed.
  7. Hi all, not sure where to put this so here goes. If you go past a hidden policeman with a speed gun (I was about 54in a 50 going downhill and braking before I saw him) do they have to stop you to issue the fine or will it come through the post? I am aware that I have no chance of avoiding if it comes as I was over but not on purpose but I'm just worried now and could well do without a big fine and 3 points. Thanks for listening.
  8. Hi, is it a dyson you have? Also can you pm me a list of what you still have available. We move into our new house 1st may so perfect timing! :-)
  9. How is this unprofessional? We have not been told any names, we don't even know the OP's real name And We don't know where they work or what line of the nhs they are in. The OP is simply outlining a personal issue she is experiencing and asking for impartial advice. If this were in the team coffee room shouting out to anyone who will listen then I might take a different stance, but as it is I honestly don't think this is an unprofessional conduct on her part at all.
  10. We live in Stirling, in the heart of the Adelaide Hills. It's a beautiful town with a vibrant cafe culture scene and only 20 mins from the CBD. We lived in Aldinga for 4 years before making the move to the hills, and we haven't looked back, although I still love Aldinga and miss my friends dearly. we haven't done a winter here yet, so ask me in a few months what I think about it when I've suffered the cold lol! :-)
  11. I am about to get back onto the nursing bandwagon after a very long extended mat leave. I was a HV in the UK but I'm seriously thinking that I do not wish to return to it. I'm thinking of only going back 1-2 days a week so hopefully into the community sector would be nice. If anyone hears of anything going in Adelaide Hills give us a shout lol! im very excited to be going back and challenging my brain again! :-)
  12. We have used Adam for the last 4 years and have seldom had problems. This last few months it has been dropping out a lot but they have sent us a replacement modem to try. Be aware of the small print on the contract though, as we thought we were continuing our existing contract of month by month rolling contract when we moved house, but they changed it to a 24 month contract so we are now tied in!
  13. This sounds fab! I will be baking this with my girls when they get in from school today! thanks!
  14. I wish we had brought everything! We brought next to nothing and it cost us a fortune to set up! Delivery fees here cost almost as much as the furniture itself! Quality is also generally higher if bought in UK, Ireland etc
