Golf for the complete novice!

I've been thinking of taking up some golf. Nothing serious mind - just something to do in an evening or weekend when I can't think of anything else! Anyway there's a golf club not far from my house, lessons are $100 per hour for 1 person, $50 each per hour for 2, and $35 per hour if 3 or more want a lesson - which I think is dead cheap! Here's a link to the PDF http://www.geoffheathgolf.com.au/171/downloads/coaching%20menu.pdf and the site Geoff Heath Golf - Belgravia Leisure. Does anyone fancy coming to a few of these lessons? We might one day be able to join the golf society pros (further down the page)!!! :err:

I know our local golf club in Willunga does 6 week courses for those wanting to learn - lessons with the professional, then you are given your handicap before being let out loose - amybe worth checking out. Its not a one on one lesson but small groups. I know someone that did it and really enjoyed it. They learnt heaps!

I'll give you lessons at $35 a hour one on one..................He seems expensive, just ring any golf club and ask the pro for his prices, they will be alot cheaper than $100, nearest to you will be Tea Tree Gully at Fairview Park, or try Highercombe Course, will be cheaper than the rest, if my memory is right highercombe is around $40, one on one.
