after sitting in the Chappel stand today watching pitiful batting and excellent bowling and then to Australias embarrassment of Clarke not walking when the ball clearly hit his bat, they deserve to lose, not only the match but the series.

at lunch time, popped into the Casino and saw the elderly with more concentration on the pokies than what the Australian batsmen had all day at the crease.

No i will not join the ranks of the Barmy army, who got very boring after a while...

Well you all know which colour I fly when it comes to the Ashes, but I have to admit to feeling a bit of admiration for Katich (sp?) out there batting when clearly hurting. The fat lady hasn't sung on this match yet either, with Hussey still out there and heavy rain forecast for tomorrow.

 

The English team seem to be such a unified group this year though, which is just emphasising the problems in the Australian team. So good to see all the team members rushing over to congratulate their mate when he does a good bit of fielding.

And the Barmy Army aren't boring, they are the most loyal following supporters in the world and they are enjoying a rare moment of success. I was sat near the trumpet player and Jimmy Saville, was ace to think 'you're here for a visit, I actually live here!' How lucky am I?
