Right, after our little 'dry-run', I suggest we go for the real thing now........:P

Does anybody have any suggestions for the venue? We can agree on a date later........

Partridge House on Partridge St in Glenelg has lovely gardens which have a couple of BBQ's, swing park for kids and large grassy area for a kickabout .I have seen families having a picnic there with wine, beers etc.

Another nice park is Collins Reserve on Valetta Road, Fulham Gardens. Its a huge area with 2 play parks for kids, BBQ's, a duck pond & small stream - not sure about it being a dry zone but again have seen families there having drinks.

2 possibilities there for ya!

We arrived in January this year, Orla. Absolutely love it. We're even getting used to the smell of the Pat! Have you been to the Dublin pub yet? Not much Irish about it, mind you.....

'the Pat' is local parlance for the Patawalonga, the river/lake

catchment water in Glenelg that is used as a marina. It stinks to high heavens due to seaweed and a bit of pollution too

Well my boyfriend and I are really keen to meet more people, as our jobs haven't provided us with the best social lives!! A wee bbq would be excellent. Even if we just met a couple of people it would be something :) I'm 25 and Steven is 29. Just really need to do something different and get out a bit more.

Count us in!!

Excellent Rosco!! Sounds great. We're a bit skint at the minute as I'm not working and Steve's job is a temp one for 4 weeks, but as soon as we have some cash we'd love to meet up with you guys!! Where are you based about?
