House sold!

Our house has been on the market since the 8th of July,got an offer (agent reduced her commission), and we exchanged contracts last week. Got confirmation this morning that the bond has been approved! Our house is SOLD!!!! If all goes well we leave in 18 weeks!

Congratualtions, I big relief for you now, I know how we felt when we got the news last friday, Money in the bank well some anyway. All the best in Adelaide, the 18 weeks will soon pass.

Congratulations, I hope our house sells as quickly as yours although I dont know if the South African market is moving quicker than here in the UK. I am originally from Durban but been in the UK for 15 yrs, now moving to Adelaide! Where abouts in Adelaide are you going?

The market here in South Africa is slow, however, it was tourists from Namibia who bought the property! Right people at the right time! We are planning on settling either in Hallett Cove or Reynella and Woodcroft, depending on which school we decide. What about you guys? When are you leaving?

Ours went on the market first week in June, accepted an offer on the last day of June......... The buyer's buyer dropped out and they had to start again, hence the delay but we seem to be back on track again. The surveyor has just left 5 minutes ago and the final searches have been done. Hopefully we'll exchange contracts soon then we need to book the flight but we will have to wait till September to complete on the sale (our shippers are booked up now for August!)

 

Good luck to all trying to sell at the moment - its worse than waiting for the Visas and that was bad enough - 2 years and very expensive in our case! So near now ............
