Leaking water-Any ideas

Hi Guys, just noticed last night a large damp patch on the concrete floor under the carpet,in the hallway which adjoins the laundry. No signs of any leaks in the laundry ,could this be a problem with the floor itself,as the dampspots are not continuous, appear in spaces set apart.

Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks Sue

Make sure nobody flushing loo, dishwasher or washing machine on then check water meter to see if the dial is moving at all to see if this is a clean water leak or a waste water one.

Where in Adelaide are you?

It might be the breecher that has split,

This is a very common problem.

As Heaps said is the meter spinning when all taps are off?

Make a note of reading then check later it might be slow leak.

It could also be the pipe that goes from the breecher to the outlet.

This will only leak when in use.

You need a pressure test done on the water lines

Send me a pm if you like with your number and we can talk about this.

Sounds pretty accurate, :cool:both ours went but are covered on the house insurance fortunately.

If it is the breecher a good plumber will be able to removed the tiles, fix the pipe and put the tiles back with new grout without hardly a sign.

If it is in the centre of the hall and the skirting boards are dry then in could be in the slab, all the above are good moves to take, good luck.
