yes you will need a tax file number and possibly a ABN .

also may need a licence if your career is in construction. if not, then yes tfn and abn needed

Don't know about the catering side of things, but I worked for another roofer for a year whilst applying for a licence to get my name known as thought it would be harder to start out not knowing anyone. Still have issues sometimes with not what you know but it is who you know here.

Hi again roofing is my first trade city and guild advanced craft trained,also roof line/guttering/ground work/brick work and have no problems reading drawings as I have a small construction business in UK. But family come first so going to give it a go in Adelaide as there is not much of a future for kids here.
