My mum is over from the uk and we have been discussing the future trips .... She probably wants to come for the sun in summer and then return to the uk in the rainy uk summer. Does anyone know or had experience with this. Is it worth just getting a 3 or 6 month tourist visa ? If so how many times can you apply for these once out of Australia ?

 

Is the parent visa hard to get these day ? For a long term solution ?

Check the Aus immigration website for the info on tourist visas (there are longer stay ones for relatives etc ). Everything about them is given there.

 

As for the patent visa, pricey route or long wait route (balance of family and all that also iirc).
