887 Visa - What's the update?

Hello all,

I am new to this forum.

I am preparing my 887 visa application and it's due on 3 Dec 2019. I have spent 90 days in the USA for work. Now I am wondering do I need to stay back 90 days or work-related travel consider in total stay requirement?

I am working for USA based MNC and based in Melbourne, and they sent me for work there. I am living in Melbourne since 2015 and I got family sponsor 489 visa on 4 Dec 2017, and as per the condition I can choose to live anywhere in Victoria.

Your advice will be highly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Cheers,

Sachin

Conservative approach.. wait for 90 days and apply.

But as per legislation there is no definition around work travel, as long as you have maintained your residency and work  in a regional area it is ok during that period (2 years). It all depends on how strong is your paper work and view case officer takes on your application. It can go either way, no one can guarantee.

Individual will have no control when he or she works for the organisation since as per employment contract one will be required to work as per the location of the client/organisation requirements . Any such travel will be based on organisational requirements and should/will not be considered as breach of the visa condition as it is not employee driven.

It could only raise more questions and add more paper work to application and hence better to wait for 90 days and apply. Hope that makes sense to your situation.

Hi DAS welcome on this forum. No AFP needs to be provided for a 4yr old.

Haven’t been active for a while, very very happy for your grants. I was in hospital the past week suffered badly from depression, life is hard but god will bless us, hopefully. I know the wait is mentally draining. But I Hope everyone is happy and healthy.

Is it legit? Someone got grant from November. Do you know the person?? It was suspicious.

It could be those lucky random pick I think, if the info is correct. Other than that, I highly doubt October and November applicants will be touched before new year. Time for them to clear backlog and work on September applicants. I am already so frustrated. Just keep on waiting though :(
