Hey!! on the Carcinogens front, everything has them in it if you want to be picky about things. That is why in medical terms there are safe levels. The water companies have to make these levels available to the public domain. i have done cancer research for 10 years and have not found a link or know of a link between cancer and any water. Hope this is reassuring!! Smoking and the sun kill more people in OZ i reckon.

you are definitely better off drinking tap water than any thing that comes via your roof gutters

 

The whole myth about Adelaide tap water goes back forty years or more when we didn't have extensive water filtration on the mains.

 

If anything its a bit too pure now, especially if you want to home brew some beer
