Front loading medicals...is it worthwhile?

We have seen on here, and other forums, that some people have got their visas without ever being allocated a case officer. We are wondering whether or not to front load medicals as this seems a common factor in those granted more quickly????

Just clutching at straws to speed things up really!

We were told by a lady at DIAC to front load as it would speed up the process. After speaking to a guy there a couple of days ago he forwarded our case to his manager and said they should be able to let it through.

It also means that it can't take over a year from the date you have your meds, as they only last a year so the ASPC have to look at it before the time runs out!!

Hope this helps

It can help but if your waiting on attempting or starting to sell houses in uk before coming out just remember the clock is ticking as soon as they are done so just hope your house sells before your time runs out or its an expensive validation trip

i can only second Ian's message!!

we are exactly stuck there - we've got the visa (frontloaded pc/medicals) - and can't sell our house - thus have to go on a quite expensive validation trip!

Thanks everyone for that. Looks like we should get them done then. We'd asked our agent and she'd advised us not to do it yet, but looking on here made us wonder.

We had a failed move to the West Country last year - so kept our house on the market while we decided what we wanted to do. Decided to go for what we REALLY wanted - change of country. House sold Aug '08 but had taken 16months & lots of price drops! Good luck to those of you still trying to sell we know how you feel.
